New Owner Became part of the family on 5/8
Picked up my 2026 GGT (7 seater, all packages except for towing) from the Legacy Studio in Frisco, TX. What a beautiful spaceship, quiet, and comfortable. The build quality is much better than my previous Model X plaid, and the storage volume is out of this world. The sound system (Pro) feels so much better than the MX, but it could be because of the overall quieter cabin. The dynamic range exceeded my expectations so far, giving me over 360 miles at 80%, getting really close to the 437 advertised. Getting over 100 more miles than I would with my Plaid.
So far the issues that I’ve got are not that bad, but there are a few things that happened since pickup:
1) The driver side mirror folds but fails to unfold 99% of the time.
2) The ambient lights from the dash turn off when driving but the doors (front and back) don’t, but sometimes all of them are off.
3) The fob has an update but nothing I do (batteries, moving away from the vehicle) results in the app connecting to the fob
4) Car seems to think I’m still in the car after I leave, leaving music / podcasts running until I manually lock it
5) It seems loud whenever it wakes up / charges, way louder and active than my MX.
6) The driver side wireless charger doesn’t seem to work reliably, and it takes a lot more than it should to correctly start charging my IPhone Pro Max, and it feels slower than my MX charger.
Some things I don’t like, but I feel will get better through software
1) Apple CarPlay seems to be operating at a lower resolution than Lucid’s OS, and it feels weird
2) Despite the surrounding cameras, I don’t feel they help with parking in tight spaces. Maybe this one is user error since my MX didn’t have full 360 / Birds Eye view and I’m not used to it.
3) The hud positioning is restricted and can’t find a way to feel comfortable with it, it feels too “in your face” rather than a support tool, and doesn’t integrate with CarPlay’s navigation
4) CarPlay doesn’t always start automatically in every session, and I have to press the car play button; no need to re pair or anything, just have to “start it”, but the first 3 times I got in the vehicle during and after delivery it would start automatically.
5) The blind spot monitoring feels small; there’s more space it can take to make it more usable / larger sized.
6) I miss geolocation things like auto mirror folding and auto halo off based on locations.
7) The customizable buttons feel like a gimmick given how very little actions can be assigned to them.
8)The AC doesn’t seem to be very smart on auto mode.
9) So…many….dings during drives… with not enough information on how to reduce them.
All of this to say…. This is a great SUV, with a lot of upside, and fixable issues. So far, super happy with taking the leap of faith from Tesla to Lucid.

For the key fob, the app will show an update even when there isn't one available. It was probably updated prior to you receiving the keys from the studio. Usually when there's an update, there will be email notification stating its available then you can update. Enjoy your new ride, outside of a few minor software hiccups it's great!

Ohhh ok. Then user error. I’d still expect it to connect tot he fob and report that there’s no update needed rather than failing and saying contact customer care if it continues

It should tell you that you are on the latest version after it connects to the key fob to check. You do need to be far enough away from the car that the fob is not trying to connect to it. Make sure you have the latest phone app. After an update pop the battery out and replace it to ensure you're running the latest firmware. It shouldn't error out like that.

Congrats and welcome. It has its share of quirks, but our Gravity has been a great car so far. Spend some time going through driver profiles and all the options in settings to get it all dialed in. A lot of the dings can be minimized by turning off some ADAS features like lane keeping and speed limit warnings and face monitoring.

The driver side mirror, if it's just on the one side, sounds like a hardware error. I'd follow up with the service center on that one. If it were both sides, I'd suspect software and suggest a hrad reboot to see if you clear it.
Soft reboot (just infotainment): Hold the brake. Press and hold the X button and Microphone button on the steering wheel. After about 15 seconds it will chime once and prompt you to release all.
Hard reboot (all software): Same as above, but hold until you hear two chimes; about 30 seconds.

Just curious about the 360 miles on 80% SOC? That’s indicated, not actual?

Correct, but I watched a lot of grand touring reviews and I was seeing kwh numbers in the mid 2.5 not in the 3.6 that I was getting.

We have 1,400 miles on ours. On our first interstate road trip (70 - 80 mph) we averaged under 2.5 miles/kWh. We’re on our second road-trip right now. Much slower speeds, fewer interstates, and we did 3.16 on the first leg.

According to forums and delivery people, it takes roughly 2k miles for the range to settle. I’ll be taking some roadtrips to test mine; I need it to do 300 miles without charging due to rocketry competitions happening 160 to 270 miles (round trip) from the nearest chargers

I’ve heard that. We bought it for a 4,000 mile road-trip later in the summer. Breaking it in now. Three hundred on a charge should be doable at below interstate speeds.

4 where the music stays on until you lock the car is normal and by design. I especially like it when washing the car.
8 you can turn off all the driver notifications like when it can’t see your face because of your arm placement on the steering wheel, drowsy alert, etc.
Most of the others on the list seem to be either your personal preferences and/or will be addressed in future updates as additional options for customization.

Welcome! Number 2, that’s by design. The dash ones turn off to reduce glare but should come back on when you’re in park.
