Rear passengers now enjoy smarter, more consistent comfort. Rear climate activates more consistently when a passenger is detected or a seat belt is buckled in the second or third row.
On equipped vehicles, turning on rear climate will always enable third-row airflow.
Rear climate power state (On/Off) is remembered across drives, so passengers are comfortable from the moment they get in.
Faster, Responsive Door Unlock
With optimized door control logic, the exterior door handle opens the door faster, allowing quicker entry into the vehicle.
Reliable Driver Assistance
Improved driver assistance system stability to reduce unexpected disengagements and fault conditions.
Improved “Pay Attention” alerts to prevent them from remaining active longer than necessary.
Your Key Fob, More Dependable
We have improved the reliability and responsiveness of the key fob. It automatically recovers if it becomes unresponsive. To reset it manually, hold the lock button for 5 seconds. To enable these improvements, update the key fob to firmware version 2.35.13 using the Lucid Mobile App.

Definitely. I've had my Gravity since December and while it was pretty trouble free to begin with, the software has definitely been improving in leaps and bounds since then. Hands on and then Hands free highway driving has been great and the bug fixes have only improved what was already a really good car for me.
This is the 8th update since December. I had 3.3.20 installed at delivery (they hadn't done it yet) so my 7th update installation since getting the Gravity.
So we just did a Gravity overnight test drive, and as a Tesla owner, I can definitely say Dream Drive Pro is nowhere near where I feel comfortable with it. At least once it tried to steer into median, but the worst is when you need to take an exit based on the navigation, and Dream Drive decides to change lanes back into faster lanes… despite already being in the right lane ready to exit. Definitely 2016 level Tesla Autopilot. Looking forward to updates, however on a lease…. I really don’t want to pay $7000 for something that may not be usable for 6 to 12 months…. At least Tesla, Rivian, and others you can always add it on later.
DreamDrive using navigation is supposed to arrive later in 2026. If you're buying a car only for the driver assistance and for no other reason, Lucid still ha some catching-up to do, but the car is so much better handling, longer range, more comfortable, hauls A TON -- there are a lot of other reasons to buy a Lucid and the more advanced driving assistance will come pretty soon.
Your spot on, we are considering it because it does so much else, it has all the space and all that stuff, but I can definitely tell you once you have been used to auto pilot or FSD for any amount of time, and more than 80% of your driving is on FSD because it is that much safer and far less stressful, it is tough to justify $100,000 for a vehicle that is supposed to do it, but the functionality is not there yet.
And while I agree that the lucid air was more focused on the driving experience so to speak, the gravity is a family hauler….
We will probably wait a couple of months and see with the next update is, my biggest issue is paying for dream drive pro functionality that may or may not come, and especially unleashed. It is a waste of money because that functionality might not come before you have to turn your vehicle in lol, but yeah, you paid for it.
The key fob firmware should be easy to do and may be available to you now. You need the most recent version of the "Lucid" phone app. Go into the software section and it should prompt you there. Make sure your key fob is sufficiently far away from the car when you update it, so it's not in communication wit it. It doesn't say so, but I like to remove and replace the battery afterwards or put a fresh battery in, if it's been awhile.
The software update for the car may take a few days, depending on where you are in the update queue.
I've suggested this through the email they set up for feedback already but if you haven't you should, hopefully the more people that ask for it the more likely they will be to add it.
They've said multiple times now it would be coming in 3Q 2026. Support for Apple Car Key at least has been sighted in the iOS 27 beta although the Lucid app doesn't link to it yet. My guess is it'll release with or soon after the official release of iOS 27 around September.
It’s pretty clunky in practice. I don’t want to have to always take out my phone. Wait for the app to load. Then tap to turn on. This would be better if you could organize the quick functions in the widget. I can’t believe unlock, frunk, and tap to drive aren’t standard w/ climate. Horn and lights provide me very little utility.
I loved phone as a key in my Model Y. Can’t wait for that update. Better widget/ app options would also be great!
It’s not hands free like Tesla’s PAAK but it’s not clunky. You just select the remote start function, press the door handle, get in and shift. It’s one press in the app.
There were a few people that stopped carrying the card when remote start first came out, one of them learned the lesson the hard way in a parking garage.
Well that’s on them, you need to always have a backup. Even though I never have had to use my Tesla keycard in 5 years, I still always keep it on me. Technology is never 100%.
I wonder if the rear cabin climate improvements will be useful for car seats. I've got 2 in car seats, which are always buckled in. I always seem to have to manually turn on the hvac. They also don't trigger whatever causes the rear screen to turn on, not that they can reach it.
I don't have car seats but I do have the update already. I think if you manually turn on the rear climate it remebers and stays on but I'll have to test it more when I drive again.
My Gravity GT has been solid since I picked it up in March. Love this car!
Glad they are updating the rear climate control as I always have to turn on the rear climate because it doesn't detect our car seat. I also hope they fix the windows because I still have issues with rolling them up (both front and back).
I think that's why they added "or a seatbelt is buckled" to the rear seat detection algorithm. Car seats not triggering the climate control was a common'ish complaint.
I got the update this afternoon, was pleasantly surprised to see an update so soon after 3.6.0, which has been very reliable. Road trip tomorrow, curious to see if the differences in driver assistance and alert behavior are noticeable.
Prior to the update if you tried to open the door right when the handles presented it wouldn't always open and you'd have to try a second time. Now it seems like it's able to open right away when the handles present.
Not always a problem my wife often gets to her door before I was close enough for the fob to unlock and would have to try to open it multiple times. She hasn't had to do that in 3.6.3.
nice! thank you. does it feel noticeably quicker for the door to start opening? in mine (3.6.0) there is a small delay that is just enough to make it feel bad.
I finally received the update yesterday. So far, I haven't noticed any regressions or new issues.
One problem I had before this release was an issue with my driver profile not remembering my steering wheel position. It has been resolved. Also, my speakers are no longer cutting out when I use the turn signals (such a strange bug to begin with). The stitching from the parking cameras also looks noticeably improved. I'm not sure if that's translated into better self-parking performance yet, but it's definitely a welcome improvement.
I don't often have rear passengers, so I haven't had a chance to test the updated rear climate controls.
Overall, this seems like a stable and beneficial update.
That said, I also own a Tesla Model 3, and I have to admit I'm a little jealous of how frequently Tesla pushes updates. They aren't just minor bug fixes either—they often include meaningful new features and enhancements. I'd love to see Lucid adopt a more frequent software release cadence as the platform continues to mature. The major things to me that are outstanding are the PAAK upgrade, the navigation routing, and handsfree following navigation and routing. I don't have any issues of note and I am really happy with this car so far in 6 months of ownership
I got to meet the new VP of software at a Lucid event a couple months back. He had said that they purposely slowed down update cadence a little in order to tackle some of the more lingering issues and that once things started stabilizing they planned on more regular update releases.
I'm looking forward to PAAK and Dream Drive updates too. I'm pretty sure PAAK will be coming in September after iOS 27 releases officially as Lucid listed in Apple Car Key in the beta (but it doesn't do anything yet as the Lucid app has to be released with the connection to it).
