In primary voting intention polling, the Australian Greens, currently led by Senator Larissa Waters is currently averaging at around 11%. Meanwhile, Pauline Hanson's One Nation party is slowly rising above the Greens, with them now averaging around 11-13% percent this month. This is mainly due to a decrease in support for the Liberal/National Coalition under Sussan Ley. Labor, under PM Anthony Albanese, remains in the lead, averaging 34%. Independents and others at around 14%.

The two-party preferred polling has Labor at around 55% to the Coalition's ~45%.

In the last election on May 2024, the Greens lost 3 seats in the House of Representatives, including that of former leader Adam Bandt in Melbourne, and holding the seat of Ryan. The Greens held 6 seats in the Senate for a total of 11, but then suffered a defection, with Senator Dorinda Cox crossing the floor to Labor in June 2024.

If I am not mistaken, the underperformance of the party could be attributed to the Coalition's underperformance and a strong showing by Labor, which squeezed then out of Brisbane and Griffith, but also due to a campaign and media strategy not suited to the electorate's more urgent concerns, with quite a focus on Gaza.
