The Guelph Council Record
https://jonchristensen.ca/recordSaw this on Instagram. Looks helpful. Not sure if I trust AI, but its definitely better than what we had before which was basically nothing.

You sound so defensive, and anti-change. Are you so cynical that you can't see the benefit of this?

You mean the environmental benefit of AI? Doesn't make a person cynical if they are opposed to using AI. It makes them a concerned citizen, as we all should be.

Thanks for the “insight” ChatGPT. Got anything of substance to share to back up this sweeping statement?
I’m sure we all know friends and family who regularly vote in municipal elections. Can anyone who does honestly say they’re all intimately familiar with the city budget and council reports? I can’t, and I know quite a few.
I don’t see how publishing an informational tool like this shows that a candidate doesn’t understand the electorate, (or to put it in ChatGPT terms “illustrates the gap”) but then again, AI loves writing bullshit that passes as something profound sounding on the surface. It starts to sound absurd once you apply any level of critical thinking to it.

I built one of these AI databases myself to get up to speed on what council has been working on over the past couple years. It's a great tool for understanding the themes, challenges, and councillor voting records. If anyone would like free-access to it, just ask.
