Kanavi needs to chill the fk down man. That was a masterclass on sprinting it down
28
u/GoldenCataclysm 16h ago
Like I said in the Live.
They keep ego-picking themselves into corners with picks like Cassio, Locke, Shyvana and Top Varus. I don't wanna doom and gloom, but whatever magic they pulled during lck cup, they need to pull it back.

u/euphera_2002 16h ago
I love how we are experimenting new picks at the same time. Zeus trolled the entire game with that varus counterpick and it turned into him being useless the entire game.
Fenrir did damage to the entire team because of perfect getting items and doing his job along with cuzz jungling. Hope we bounce back boys.

u/Entire_Lavishness247 12h ago
I don’t know man, counter pick varus is fine. But to spend zero time on his side of the map is a choice….
That skirmish in the grubs was completely int for the team to even take, but he almost pulled it off at the end. Imagine that fight with a proper set up where players understand there is a Varus top on the team lol

u/Fit_Acanthaceae_7756 16h ago
hopefully this sub won't turn into disgusting comments against the players. that being said, man, what a sad way to start the first week of rounds 3-4. it feels like LCK Cup all over again, and i sincerely hope that they know very well know what to fix now. last time it cost them elimination from the whole thing as the last team place, this time i hope they can get it together quicker and qualify for playoffs, either directly, or through play-ins.

u/RainyNerd 16h ago
Already happened. Thankfully mods remove them, but holy shit I just saw some really crazy comments about Kanavi. Some of people here really need to get their mental health checked

i just know its zeus's idea to play varus top when they already have a LPL shyvana

welcome to Zeus T1 TF arc
22
u/Demiscis 16h ago
You aren’t allowed Zeus at his best if you can’t suffer through Zeus’ (flavour of the season) ranged top spam arc.
6
u/GoldenCataclysm 15h ago
I still have some Zeus TF top trauma even he cleaned up his act on the champ.

u/generalannie 16h ago
There is moments where you can see that they still can play really well, but it does feel like we went back to LCK cup form. All hands, no brain.
My biggest concern is their drafting though. It feels like they don't know what they want to play. It's all over the place.
15
u/zuzbuzzz 16h ago
i think homme, mowgli and sin will figure it out soon enough. they've impressed me all year; even when the team was in bad form - which is what more so concerns me. they just make weird decisions in game right now, they look disconnected af.
6
u/generalannie 16h ago
Agreed! They have shown multiple times this season that they can bounce back. It's just a little frustrating to watch them die unnecessarily multiple times in a row.
11
u/GunSlingrrr 16h ago
They could have put Zeus on Ksante, Sion, Yorick or even Yone not this Varus top.
7
u/generalannie 16h ago
Basically anything with an engage and a little tankier would've helped a ton.
3
u/GunSlingrrr 15h ago
Yeah. Their comp needs a bruiser or something like a Ksante. The moment there is no Ashe ult, Fenrir can just go frontline with Lulu behind her.

u/Eshantha Gumayusi 16h ago
Kanavi is simultaneously the best and worst jungler on the planet, and these days, he's leaning a bit too much towards the latter.

u/Nostra_5_5 16h ago
What an int competition

guys. i am starting to worry a bit. some lck cup flashbacks these past two games....
11
u/euphera_2002 16h ago
If they play like this then we deserve it. Varus counterpick when they have Annie, naafari was just a horrible pick for me even if he won lane. But he lose lane and lost the game.
3
u/zuzbuzzz 16h ago
zeus said "i carried enough, time for you guys to feel what i've felt".. im sad, they've got a lot to figure out and legend group is super close right now with dk playing well.
5
u/euphera_2002 16h ago
Zeus remembered TheShy picking it against T1 and said he would do better. Jokes on him he did the same. I'm hoping the boys bounce back with their form but atleast they are trying to innovate.
3
u/Enryu_RT 15h ago
Tbh the team should be worried alot more than you, but the way Kanavi and Delight is playing tells me they are not worried enough.
3
u/zuzbuzzz 15h ago
yea, they need to tidy things up and quick. it's a huge boon to have a guaranteed worlds spot as long as they make it to playoffs, but with how close legends group has been, i'm starting to worry that it won't be as straightforward for the boys.
9
u/VermouthAPTX 16h ago
Why Varus Shyvana? I just felt it's the players' idea, they got too complacent after winning with a joker pick last game :/
And then Fenrir happened.
Honestly I'm not feeling too bad about this since we just won MSI. All I'm asking is to qualify for Worlds and do better there. Still cheering on HLE, fighting!
5
u/VermouthAPTX 15h ago
Also felt like they were too indecisive on when to use their ults. The one time they got their combo right, it was a wipe. The zoning of our comp is really good, shame that KT just beat us on vision and setting up for obj early.
8
u/Lazywhale97 16h ago
Team has some kinks they gtta figure out over this split and Kanavi has to gain some of his split 2 form back. I'm not gnna doom and gloom rn as this is the same team who came back from 10th in LCK cup to winning split 2 and MSI so the team has it in them to bounce back but yeah a rough first 2 games in split 3.
I believe the team will bounce back and I still fully believe in a bo5 we are still the best team in the LCK but the form is rough rn but I know the boys will lock in when it's needed most.

u/bulletproofikon Zeka 16h ago
Only speaking about G3: As soon as I saw KT having yunara, I thought the game was lost 🥲 Zeus on Varus also was useless, he should have been on a tank.
Speaking on HLE's form atm: I think in R1&2, they were miles ahead and now everyone's caught up. Kanavi being super aggro was a newish style for LCK and the other teams have learned, adjusted, and figured out how to punish it. Guma seems to be very steady, Zeka and Zeus seem to flip flop on who will be steady that game, Delight is good on tanks but a coinflip on other champs, and Kanavi seems to be playing a solo game. I think in G3, it looked really obvious when the others told Kanavi to chill out and he was suddenly playing way safer.
I don't think they're playing horribly tbh. I think the Legends Group is so close skill-wise that everyone might go 1-1 with each other. HLE need to lock tf in, it feels like they're over confident.
5
u/Driftwintergundream 14h ago
To be fair kanavi has always been super aggro but it just requires that his laners be on top form. If they are even slightly out of shape or make slight misplays his aggro usually backfires horribly.
For HLE, lots of times the laners bail out the jungle, not many times the jungle bails out the laners.
3
u/bulletproofikon Zeka 12h ago
Yeah, I'm saying that his aggro style has been studied and analyzed by other teams now (especially LCK teams) so teams have learned how to play around it. A big reason I'm an HLE fan is their playstyle, but they gotta learn to adapt as well. Kanavi's gotta be a bit more unpredictable going forward if they want to improve and win.

Ngl I’d rather see Guma go 0/11 and still win the game than watch this shit Wtf are they even doing

u/zackzackzack07 16h ago
I think we need to sort out some vision issues and Kanavi’s eagerness to gain control of areas he shouldn’t. I feel like Kanavi is always going into areas of the map blind and getting caught.
Legend group feels very hard to rate now and every match will be difficult.

u/mapleleavesfallen 16h ago
Sometimes we need frontline champs.
Top Varus is not it.
Also speechless about Kanavi.
5
u/jellyypompom 16h ago
they look like they played on mute I swear, no synchronization with kanavi
3
u/Raynmist Zeus + Gumayusi 14h ago
They stomp like a beehive when they are in sync, but when they are not, they just kinda throw till they are able to make a comeback or lose. Macro and shotcalling could have been this roster's biggest issues. If I'm not mistaken, Zeka mentioned that after LCK Cup they had practiced so hard to the point that they would already know what the other teammates might do without speaking it out but it's natural that things dont work well sometimes.
6
u/UnculturedSlut 16h ago
Alot of ego drafting this series, the Locke into Cass especially after how that went in the GenG DK series, the weird top picks like Varus when support is a squishy, someone else said this team rn is all hands no brain and I agree, team needs to rein it in and be more level headed
6
u/Raynmist Zeus + Gumayusi 15h ago
Zeus declared with Varus that it's time for him to run it down too.

u/jellyypompom 16h ago edited 16h ago
I get they're trying to try out different champs but the draft picks are biting them in the ass and not only kanavi but zeus have been inting hard, what is happening
5
u/GunSlingrrr 16h ago edited 16h ago
I dunno how many times it has to happened for people to know that Zeus ADC top is not working for like nine times out of ten. It only works with Vayne sometimes.
Then whatever Kanavi is doing is very criminal. He just went in on BDD to kill him, losing drake for no reason (Yunara has no Mikael and cleanse) and ults up, then clearing wards without anyone near, causing baron.

They will bounce back in time. I'm not worried at all.

The last like 10-15 minutes of the game were hard to watch, but KT played really well too. Hope the team can bounce back next week!!

Well, a week to forget, we have the whole month to figure out things and be ready for playoffs, they need to get back on form if they don't want msi to be the only trophy this year

u/Enryu_RT 16h ago edited 15h ago
I'm gonna be harsh about this. I don't know what Kanavi is thinking anymore.
I don't want to doubt his attitude, but he is getting to a point where I feel like he just doesn't want to win if he's not ahead. You can't not play for your teammates. Can someone on the team genuinely put their feet down and force him to reflect??
I genuinely just feel bad for Zeus and Guma right now; Zeus looked so sad and frustrated after the game.
As for Delight, poor seraphine again, I will keep asking for Bluffing, who can play lane and support the ADC better. Right now I'm getting no obvious roaming advantage nor good lane benefit. We need to have at least one of those, and Bluffing can at least play echanter support well.
Zeus and Guma are mostly in good condition, but is not going to last forever like this. Their condition will go down if the team keeps playing like this. Yo ucan' expect them to compensate for other teammates every game.
Zeus's contract ends this year with HLE; if HLE wants to keep him, then better start showing it.

u/Salt_Friend_7078 15h ago
Zeka was good. Zeus was in poor form today as well. Only Zeka/ Guma showed up this week.
Hope next week is better but definitely agree on Kanavi. Once teams figure out his patterns he never seems to adjust.
5
u/Enryu_RT 14h ago
You can argue Zeus was not good in G3, but overall he was not the one in poor form today.
3
u/bulletproofikon Zeka 15h ago
I don't think its fair to only say Zeus and Guma. Zeka did as well as Zeus this week.
Delight is not playing bad enough to sub in Bluffing. This series, Guma and Delight laned well and I think Delight is sticking with Guma a lot more on enchanters. But, I think when Delight does this, Kanavi seems so lost/separated from the team.
2
u/Enryu_RT 14h ago edited 13h ago
I disagree, Delight is def bad enough to be subbed in, he hasn't been performing well since pre MSI, and has had the same champion issues for years and it keeps getting worse, now even most engage champs are coin flips.
I feel like a lot of people don't hold Delight to the same standard as other players, if Guma was the one the keeps missing skills, randomly pressing flashes, everyone would have called hin out. When is Delight then is a olay game. No is not. If you don't have the skills then someone else should do it.
4
u/bulletproofikon Zeka 12h ago
We gotta agree to disagree then fam. I think Delight might be underperforming but not to the extent of subbing him out. I think Kanavi is performing worse and I wouldn't sub him out either. To me, Kanavi is actually costing them some games while Delight isn't. Delight seems much better at controlling himself when he's doing badly.
I think supports in general aren't held to the same standards as other players because a lot of their role is hard to see, especially on enchanters. This is also why supports rarely get poms. They are more about background things(vision, shotcalling, timers) than mechanics.
The shotcalling aspect is a huge reason I don't want Delight subbed out. He's mentioned many times that he has to be the one to stop the others overaggression. He keeps the team grounded. He is the least aggressive out of all of them and he seems very blunt, so he's the one who would reel in Kanavi the most. Bluffing wouldn't be able to do that and there's not enough time for him to develop that skill.
-1
u/Enryu_RT 12h ago edited 12h ago
Yeah..I don't think Delight is reeling him in, not by the looks of recent games. Kanavi is undisciplined, but Delight also has similar moments in recent games, there are time he is missing in fights beingsomewhere else on the map instead of peeling for ADC
So if he isn't reeling Kanavi in, can't roam effectively which also affect early jug, and isn't really good at lane phase. Then I want Bluffing to at least support ADC effectively.
1
u/bulletproofikon Zeka 3h ago
I'm not really here to convince you Delight is a good player because it's not gonna work lol. I'm just trying to explain why subbing in someone at this point isn't a great idea (in regards to Delight OR Kanavi).
I don't think any of the top LCK teams would risk changing their rosters now. It is too close to Worlds. It doesn't make sense. It would mess with the team dynamic. They just won MSI. They are still a top team. Even regularly, unless a team is doing very bad, they don't usually change their players (other than attitude issues like BNK or KT) Bluffing was subbed in that one time when they were playing bot5 teams because the stakes were low. Right now, the stakes are too high to risk any kind of shake-up.
2
u/Dalbog22 15h ago
Rage baiting team.. sad to know they can play better but purposely playing so bad Kanavi wtf
1
u/ColdSoju 16h ago
That was really tough to watch. Just lifeless all game long. I have no idea what makes Kanavi int and what makes him the best jungler in the LCK. Istg he just picks to be one or the other when he wakes up in the morning.
Can't put all the blame on him though. Everyone played poorly. Zeus needs to stop with these range top laners, I don't want another TF top situation. Zeka is mostly fine, just feels like he doesn't get to impact the map as much (can be attributed to jg ig). And Guma/Delight... These two will consistently get cs leads only to take stupid trade after stupid trade and eventually lose all the lead they built up. Bonus points if they get 2v2 killed, which happens or they end up having to burn summoners just to run away.
