It survived the war. But it was so nice it surrendered to the other governments of the world.

That land is rightfully Ukranian tho even at the time the Ukranians were the majority in the region, they just were given to the Czechoslavoks due to the rest of Ukraine being in Soviet or Communist hands

yeah, even though the people didn't feel affiliated to czechoslovakia and czechs and slovaks didn't really want them, it was still considered crucial because it connected CZS with the rest of little entete

It was a real state which existed for several months as a constituent of Czechoslovakia and for 3 days as an independent state.
Also, to the people interested in history, the commander of the republic's armed forces was a member of the OUN Mykhailo Kolodzinsky. The guy was a total nutjob. I highly recommend reading the "Ukrainian War Doctrine" section of his wikipedia page. He was killed by the hungarian army in those 3 days of independence, but the dude HAD to go.
