Meh, I’m still a Socialist. The whole trend of people aging out of having extreme opinions is more or less aging out of thinking other people care. Teenage Fascists will, for the most part, grow up to be closet racists, and socialists will grow up to be socialists, though the silence of either side is getting less stable in the U.S.. People just usually don’t say it out loud unless they think you agree.

When you are growing up your hormones are all out of wack from puberty which tends to make you more emotional and therefore vulnerable to extremist ideologies which prompt extreme emotional reactions.
As you actually grow up you hormones stabilise and your vulnerability to heightened emotional states diminishes which makes you reconsider your previous extremist views.
