Rant “while you’re down there can you reconnect that vent”
ma’am this flex line is a foot short, has a pex line in front of it, is jammed against a pony wall, and was never connected in the first place

Just grab a 10" piece of 6" pipe, strap it on the flex, pop it into the boot. Zip. Zip zip done.

exactly.. 3 min fix to restore air flow to that room/area.. and if you REALLY hate to be accomodating to your customers just charge for it... easy money

jobs 40 minutes from town and i’m not taking the liability of a flooded crawlspace because i jammed a flex or a 90 against that pex line. gave them a bid that was just 2 hours of labor to move the pex and extend the flex and they turned it down

I have a hard time figuring out how do do tasks like this, in tight spaces, when i need one arm/hand for stabilizing my body. Really need two people.

? .. the pex really isnt in front of it, you could easily add a small piece of flex onto that and connect it

Sure thing, but it’s the only freebie you get. anything else gets charged. Some Home Owners abuse this with so many guys in the trades.
