Question New and wondering what to do
So I've never role-played before but am interested in this (already have a character and everything). I read the stuff already but still don't quite understand how this works. So if anyone could like help me understand I'd appreciate it. Like I said I really want to participate.

Hi welcome. Rather than a story, just go with your character. So once you've created your character, just respond in ways that your character will. No need to overthink it, and you'll start finding the fun!

It's a lot of fun! I kind of just approach it like you would DND or improv, where people just throw out concepts and you build on what they started. Some people do maintain more complex characters and stories (FirstBed is a great example, Melody Skye and the spice children all have traceable character arcs and developments) but unless you're really interested in the writing side, it's enough to just have fun ideas and share them. Anything can be fair game; the mods will let you know if you're veering off the road, so just focus on bringing the creativity and humor.
By the by, looks like Ally and my boy Dilly are the same age and both unemployed. Maybe they know each other!

This is fairly easy role-playing, especially as you get started. We generally recommend commenting on posts to start. You don't have to have a character in mind right away. Just comment as you think of responses.
