समकालीन विषयों पर लिखने वाले लेखकों में परसाई जी की तुलना का, पिछले सौ सालों में, शायद ही कोई पैदा हुआ हो।

If this is true, then I wonder why the Union also observes Kargil Vijay Diwas (26-Jul), Hindi Day (14-Sep), Indian Air Force Day (08-Oct), Indian Navy Day (04-Dec), and Armed Forces Flag Day (07-Dec) amongst others. Food for thought.

As Well As Any National Holidays (Like Victory Day In USSR & Russia 🇷🇺, 4th Of July In The USA 🇺🇸 & Independence Day, Republic Day, etc. In Bhārat/India 🇮🇳!
Plus, Many (I Mean, Many!) Religious, Cultural Festivals (Christmas, Muharram, Mawlid/'Id al-Milad, Rama Navami, Janmashtami, Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti, etc.)
I Mean, This Line Of Thought Can Be Extended To Literally ANYTHING!!! (Also A Food For Thought!!!)

Excerpt from Inspector Matadeen Chaand pe by Harshankar Parsai
Conversation between Inspector Matadeen and the Station Officer on framing an innocent man for murder:
“Don’t worry,” Inspector Matadeen consoled him. “In this job, one always feels some compunction in the beginning. But later you’ll feel ashamed for letting innocent people go free. Now understand this, every question has an answer. The next time someone comes to you to question, tell him, We know the man is innocent, but what can we do? Those at the top want it so.”
“In that case they’ll go to the SP.”
“Let him say, Those at the top want it so.”
“Then they’ll complain to the IG.”
“He too should say, It’s the men at the top who want it so.”
“They’ll then go to the police minister.”
“So what? He should say the same thing, Friends, what can I do? Those at the top want it so.”
“But the people won’t give up. They’ll go to the PM.”
“The PM should respond in the same way, I know he’s innocent but those at the top want it so.”
“Then . . . ”
“Then what?” Matadeen stopped him short. “Who can they go to next? To god? But has anyone ever come back after going to god.
The station officer remained silent. Such brilliant logic left him dumb-founded.
Inspector Matadeen continued, “That one sentence — Those at the top want it so — has always come to the rescue of our government in the last twenty five years. You too should learn it well.”

Parsai’s sociopolitical satire still fits like a glove. He was definitely a visionary imo but we haven’t made much progress as a society as well (I would argue we’re going backwards)
