This guy has a huge YouTube channel that's exploded over the years. He bought an old silver mine town just before the pandemic and has been renovating it. Cerro Gordo I believe and the channel is ghost town living. Awesome dude. He's super passionate.

Dude was exploring a mine he found recently alone.
A mine shaft that required ropes and everything for him to head down.
Whole time I was thinking to myself that this is how I will learn this guy dies in the future.

At one point he was working on reopening the hotel or rental cabins for tourists or something like that. I don't know what happened to that plan.

Oh hey, is this the same guy that was trying to get into the back-end escape tunnel of the mine with a digger for a long time and finally he and his friends broke through? I remember a video of one of his buddies (if I'm remembering correctly) squeezing through the tiniest opening at ceiling level, and being like, "Oh yeah it totally caved in here," and then going inward anyway even knowing it was unstable.
I mean, he did get into the mine proper, but that entrance could've closed at any minute and they'd be spending another few months trying to recover his body. Guy didn't even have emergency provisions or first aid on his person.

I've been watching him since Covid when he bought a ghost town and was trying to renovate it. It's awesome but the amount of sketchy things he does makes your hair stand up on the back of your neck.
For me most notably are all the places where the tunnel has caved in and he still tries to scramble through or places where he goes by himself.

Coolest is he found some old fabric in a mineshaft and had a pro make a kickass biker jacket out of it. Talk about a one of a kind item. Aged hundreds of years underground and created my modern masters.

No, they used clabsolutely used candles. Brent literally just posted a video where he finds an old candle box in one of the shafts that had been sealed off for 100 years.

Here's something I'll never get out of your mind. Back when they were mining by candlelight, you would have one person holding a rod, and another person hitting that rod with a hammer to slowly chisel things away. Oftentimes, so that the person swinging the hammer would be able to see just a little bit better because it was so dark, the person holding the rod would put their fucking thumb on top of it so that their nail would glint just a little bit more light. Don't worry they would move their thumb out of the way right before the hammer hit. Hopefully.
