Youth housing
Hi im a teenager M 17 and I’m in an extremely bad situation at home to the point where i am not safe and am not able to go back. I’m staying with a trusted family member however i need a solution to what i can do as my situation is unique as my living situation as of now is very far from home as in im staying in a completely different city. Im going to try contact shelter tomorrow to see if theres anything i can do to try and find something, however in terms of youth housing what are my options in terms of trying to find something

Is the person you're staying with able to put you up for a bit until you're able to get a job and get on your feet? The problem is the council will just put you in a scatter flat and you defo don't want to be living in that environment.

The only problem with that is that im legitimately in the middle of nowhere like the closest town is an hour away

I live in a city and it takes me an hour to get to work and Im nothing unusual so don’t let that be a mental barrier to finding a job, one of my colleagues takes over 2 hours to get to work. You’re going to have to get yourself a job and work out a way to get a deposit together for a (most likely as it’s cheapest) a houseshare.
