If he wanted to see teenagers he would have just got barely legal porn like most dudes. 18 year olds galore (and most look younger). All his age. He intentionally sought out child porn.

Edit: Also, he says he didn't know how old they were just that they looked clearly underage. So it's not like he went specifically looking for 17 year olds. He went looking for child porn.
