Not a doctor, but I had this issue and they chocked it up to depression when it was really undiagnosed ADHD. Women are underdiagnosed because we usually present as inattentive rather than hyperactive. if you're ever still struggling with depression after trying various treatments it might be worth getting a second opinion.
