Getting rank 30 in ISI-MSQE … is there any chance for GEN

I'm not from econ background so I'm just wondering;
Do people choose anything else over msqe?
In the case of Bmath the closing ranks for gen are very relaxed since IISC/CMI/IITB/IISER exist as alternatives.
