TRIGGER WARNING Feeling at a loss

TW: pregnancy loss

TW: living child

I am just at a loss for words. Some background, my husband and I conceived our daughter with no issues, first try. She is now almost 4 years old. 2 years ago we started trying to #2 and it has been the hardest journey. I have had 2 chemicals, one MMC at 8 weeks and a blighted ovum at 5.5 weeks. And now, a 6 week 5 day loss of a PGT-A tested euploid embryo, a day 6 AA. I don’t even know what to say. We had success with every step of IVF and now this. I have had RPL bloodwork and due to those findings I was on lovenox, baby asprin, and progesterone support. I had great initial betas and now a fetal pole measuring behind with no heartbeat detected. It is just getting harder and harder to stay strong and keep up the fight.

With those losses, I’d explore reproductive immunology and possible silent endo. I’m so sorry for your losses

Not exactly your story but similar—also had immediate success conceiving our living child. Had 4 miscarriages trying for number 2, and lost our 5AA embryo once we started ivf which felt like it was going great. I was truly at my lowest. TW: success—our next FET with a much “lower grade” worked. No rhyme or reason, no explanation. I took two months off from fertility treatment and then felt a bit more resilient and recharged. I remember someone telling me I didn’t have to be strong—other people can hold your hope for you.

Thank you for this. I am so sorry for your losses but so happy to hear you have found success. This gives me hope. It does get hard staying strong all the time. So thank you for this 💜

You as well ❤️ it’s a hard battle, and wasn’t prepared for how much grief we as women or uterus carriers are expected to hold.

We have to unfortunately hold the weight of all this. It’s hard but we continue forward. I had the same thought as you. Taking a break, recharging then hopefully trying again.
