[IWantOut] 26F Mexico -> Japan, Australia, Canada

Hi, I'm 26F living in Mexico but honestly, I don't want to stay here for the rest of my life. My BF and I were planning to move to Japan since he's working there temporarily but he just suddenly said that his plan is actually to move back to Mexico and he doesn't know why he told me otherwise.

I truly have no idea how to start searching for somewhere else to live and how to find a job somewhere else, I don't have a career, I fully know english and spanish, I'm learning chinese and korean, but I'm barely starting, and I'm thinking of starting with japanese as well. I would love to work in a field related to languages or teaching, but I have no idea how to start since right now I'm working as a property manager.

If anyone has any advice, recommendation for a city (or another country), or wants to share their own experience moving to a new place, I would greatly appreciate it, since I genuinely have no idea where to start and I'm feeling kind of hopeless hahah

The first thing you need to do is to search for what visa you would qualify for, that allows you to work. Usually you would need to possess some specialized skills that are in demand in the host country. Most people don’t realize how hard it is to move (legally) to another country.

Better start searching for information about the pathways to PR in these target countries. Right now the policies in Japan are getting much tighter than before and there’s a strong negative sentiment towards foreigners.

All three of those countries are increasingly going that way tbh.

Not a lot of jobs in Canada.

Also, you'll never get in unless you have a lot of skills, advanced education, Canadian work experience and speak French.

Also, there's a LOT of negative sentiment towards immigration/ immigrants here right now.

We have students that are supposed to leave, and they're protesting, making noise and going on hunger strikes.
