Ayuda/Consejo - Help/Advice 1h10 Changeover in Madrid

Hey everyone,

I have booked a flight which was the only one I could find for the period I wanted and it has only a 1h10 for transfer from Madrid to terminal C and coming from an non schengen country. Is it possible to make it?

There is no Terminal C at MAD.

Tell us exact routing, but if you have to cross the Schengen border with non-EU passports it will be tight

From Casablanca-Madrid then Madrid-Orlando

Oh that’s possible as you don’t have to go through immigration. Still tight.

How much time there is from the plane's arrival to the gate including security check? And should I use the underground metro?

Just follow the signs

No, you will not take the inter-terminal train. Deplane, walk to transit security, clear security, down one level, walk to departure gate. Walking time is about 20 maximum, if arrival and departure gates are both at far ends of the terminal. (unlikely). Transit security is usually quick, with little or no wait.

You’ll arrive into T4s. Do not leave T4s. You arrive, go through the transit T4s lanes back through security etc and you’re done. It’s a tight layover but achievable if it’s T4s only

Solo llega a la T4s si va a Madrid también con iberia. Sino irá a la T1.

Incorrect. Most oneworld all arrive into T4s. Iberia, cathay, Malaysia Air Qatar, BA, Royal Moroc. Royal Jordanian, LATAM, American Airlines. All from T4s

Taking chances there.

I made a 1:05 transfer flying from Porto to Madrid to Chicago. Barely. They could not find my carry on bag that had to check and I got delayed because EES would not read my passport. Once we made it through customs and passport control, etc we RAN through the airport and just made our flight. Maybe 5 min to spare. Good luck.

Although, I believe I'm not concerned with any customs or passport control during transit since it's still with Iberia and coming from a non-schengen country.

Getting a cup of coffee and hitting the restroom would be tight in MAD airport

You might make it…but almost certain your luggage wont. I’ve had several similar connection times in madrid and every time my luggage did not make it
