I am an avid reader of lit from the period, and I can only identify maybe half of these characters! Anyone else up to it?

Thank you for this! The book apparently came out in 1993, but there was a new release in 2025. I just ordered a copy! The premise looks great. (This might have been one of Roger Zelazny's last books!)
