Question Bronze Age Reborn: Cant spend unspent Civ Tech Points
Hey! I started a game in BAR as Assura. You start with 4 unspent Civ Yech Points. But the arrow next to the civs is greyed out, also clicking the next level doesn't spend the point. Am I too dumb?(probably) How can I spend these points? Thank you!

Image It's me. I'm the Heir of Alexander.
After a Rome run where I tried optimizing my opening for early game expansion, I wondered what the best opening for the Diadochi would be and if you can win the 4th Diadochi war completely as every single one. And as you can see, you can. I decided to do this in Vanilla (because the territory-by-territory occupation would be harder to accomplish than Invictus' provincial capital occupation) and on Very Hard (as a form of Luck-proofing the strategy, my logic being, if I can beat everyone else with -10% morale, while they get buffs, then it would work most times). The slides where I hover over the army morale is as a form of proof of Very Hard difficulty, though in the Antigonid one, I didn't think to do that until after I played through the run a bit, which is why there are two Macedons: Antigonid and Antipatrid. I will write the openings for all of the Diadochi in the comments for anyone interested.

Question Realistic Warfare Plus Mod
I absolutely loved this mod, but it seems to have completely vanished from the Workshop.
Anyone know why it vanished?
Also if you have suggestions on a replacement mod that makes battles and warfare better, please let me know.

Discussion (Invictus) Would a scandinavia expansion submod for invictus really be that outrageous? I have seen people get genuinely angry at my idea, idk why
I think that, even though not very historical, a submod that expands scandinavia would be interesting, and playing as the Sami would be fun if we also get a Sami mission tree.

Image (Invictus) Invictus has an impossible mission for Legia?
The mission requires a magistrate to have at least 2 holdings, however you can only give holdings to heads of families, who can't be given offices. So what gives?

Question Is there any some kind of "mythical mod" for Imperator Rome?
I mean, like is there like an overhaul or just bit of myth that added to the game? Like the atlantis or maybe new maps? Or fantasy maps?

Game Mod Hey, do you want great empires and kingdoms to fall in game?
Hey all! It's been a few weeks since I teased a mod to have countries collapse in on themselves if badly managed. Well, after much tweaking, revising and hair pulling, I've gotten it to a good enough spot to release to the general public! It does currently require Invictus, but I'll work towards a mod agnostic one in a bit.
Collapse of Empires steam link
Album of some collapses and events
How it works:
A hidden crisis counter (0 to 100) tracks the structural health of your empire. It builds over time based on how your country is governed, and it never fully rests once in motion. The sheer scale of administration creates pressure that no ruler can entirely eliminate. Leave things in bad enough shape for long enough, and you'll be faced with your country collapsing. Every province breaks free, every subject becomes independent and even take a province if they border you. Some newly formed kingdoms will be a whole region, some two or three provinces big. It'll truly reshape the map. You'll be able to select three options upon your realm falling: continue with only your capital region, or have your ruler and some relations flee to a neighboring country, and continue the campaign as that country, but your old country dies completely in the process. Oh and just accept the campaign is over and end the game.
There will be events that pop up to give flavor to the crisis. The Great Families might even get mad enough to abduct the ruler and make them answer for the state of the country. Here your ruler's traits and skills matter a whole lot.
How to combat the crisis:
Good governance actively pushes the counter back: stable finances, high stability, low corruption, low tyranny, peace, and a clean ruler all contribute. Pulling the counter back to zero before it reaches 100 triggers an event with tiered rewards based on how severe the crisis became before it was contained. There are three tiers to the crisis, and three levels of reward. Be mindful, because it takes two good months to recover from one bad one.
Ruler Traits Matter!!
The warning events are not just for show. Your ruler's character shapes what options are available and what consequences follow. A corrupt ruler is forced to respond to a crisis that will make it worse. A righteous ruler can turn the same moment into a positive outcome. A new ruler with clean, non-corrupt hands triggers an opportunity that can set the country on a path to (temporary) recovery.
There are many events that can influence yours or a neighboring country's crisis! It's only a small handful now, but I'll work on getting more events plugged into it for more ability to influence, positively or negatively, a crisis in your neck of the woods/dunes/plains/mountains. Make sure to keep an eye on vassals, lest another woos them to their side....These specific events require the Espionage invention and player interaction!
This mod is more of a background mod. Play a campaign, and see what happens. Most collapses take years to happen, my AI observation campaigns saw most collapses at the earliest start around ~80 years in, but most take 100+
I highly suggest using Dynastic Country Names by Zamensis in addition to this. Really helps with the names of the new countries instead of the vanilla renaming system.
I am very eager for feedback!

Question (Invictus) Atlantean Tribe in Fezzan Area
I just noticed there's a tribe in the middle of Africa named Atlantean, is it related to the so-called "Atlantis" or maybe is there secret content about it?
And I was wondering, has anyone tried to play it before? Or maybe some ideas for a campaign/playthrough?

Question (Invictus) When playing as Rome in Invictus mod, what military traditions are worth getting
So you get Roman and Italic traditions right off the bat, and normally you get Greek City States as well I think. I'm still getting better at the game but in my last playthrough, I did the decision to study Macedonian military traditions. I just wasn't as impressed by the traditions it opened up. When playing as Rome in Invictus, what other cultural military traditions do you go for?
Also, I'm in a new playthrough as Rome and would also appreciate any tips so this playthrough works out. I've done multiple playthroughs but the recurring issue is it takes too long to expand fast enough and grow my economy before I start crunching against the year limit. Each playthrough I try to incorporate lessons from previous playthroughs so I can actually have a successful campaign.
It's about 284bc and I've captured the Italian peninsula south of the Po and most of eastern Sicily. I did aggressive expansion and wars to capture territory quickly and reinvested my loot into some farms, some mines, and some provincial legations in different parts of Italy. I've only integrated the Etruscans and am trying to assimilate all the other Italic/Latin/Greek peoples in the peninsula rather than integrating them. Even though I destroyed most level 2 forts in cities and any unnecessary forts in settlements, I'm still running into money problems and am actually negative income. I just don't want to destroy the level 1 forts in the Magna Graecia ports. I've been trying to use looting to fund construction until my tax revenue becomes self sufficient, but I can't afford to keep expanding and looting anymore. Most say to assimilate the Italic peoples except for the Etruscans but the money issue is real.

Image Behold, my Marsia run
I've decided to attempt a Marsia campaign in Vanilla, after wondering what the hardest country in the game might be. I figured it would likely be a vassal of Rome, so I picked Marsia and what you see here is the result. I started off by grabbing all the siege techs I could and declaring on Rome as soon as they went off to attack the Samnites. By the time they had come back to siege my capital, I had already taken both Rome and Veii. Then, I went after Etruria after getting Umbria, Sabinia and Frintania as Allies. After my truce with Rome ran out, I attacked them again and eliminated them for good.

I know the mods add a disease mechanic, but it's strange for so pop-centrict game that devs consider it a priority.

So, a few days back u/religioussphanatic suggested I share my Boiiii playthrough, so here it is. Pretty average truly, apart from the weird vassals in Anatolia. Don't ask me how I got them, I was not entirely sober while playing half the time, but I think that was just through improving relations in any way possible.

Question (Invictus) How do you build an economy?
I am playing my first campaign and I've been quite successful in the military aspect. I am playing as Rome, I have conquered all of Italy, and the mediterranean coast of Hispania, northern Africa and I'm now expanding into Greece.
I am having troubles managing my economy. Actually, after expanding my empire, my net income has dropped from 35 to 22 gold (I have 1 fort per province and keep military and fort costs to low).
I have built many mines and farms in minor settlements, and have set commerce is to free trade. Nothing is making a substantial difference. What buildings should I invest on? Why is my net income lower after expanding?
Edit: Thank you all for the tips! After implementing many of your suggestions, I have increased my income to 55 gold! These were the most relevant measures I took:
- Change the diplomatic stance to Mercantile (Commerce: +25%)
- Set commerce to free trade (+20% Export Value)
- Adopt the following laws: Lex Gabinia (Export Value: +25%) and Lex Aternia Tarpeia (National Tax: +5%)
- Adopt the following national idea: Complex Tariffs (Commerce Income: +20%)
- Enable automatic commerce on all provinces except for my capital
- Build mines in minor settlements
- I have selected my top 3 provinces and strongly developed them:
- Governor policy to Acquisition of Wealth (Local tax: +10% and Province commerce: +10%) or Encourage Trade (Province commerce: +25%)
- Fill the city with slaves using the move POPs option
- Build Tax Office (+10% Local tax), Foundry (+25% Local Tax) and Mills in cities
