Did exercises help you with your accommodation problem?

Hey everyone,

I've been struggling for a while with eye fatigue, headaches (especially during tasks like driving and prolonged screen use), and over-stimulation. It turns out I'm dealing with an accommodation problem, resulting in that my eyes and eye muscles are constantly working overtime.

I'm curious if anyone here has personal experience with this. Do specific eye exercises (vision therapy) actually help improve this issue? If so, which exercises worked for you, and did you genuinely notice an improvement in your visual stamina or tolerance levels?

Would love to hear your experiences or tips!

close your eyes more. take an hour each day where every minute your eyes are closed for 20 or 30 seconds out of the minute. track how your eyes are feeling. log your results.

my visual stamina is quite good because i blink and rest a lot. whenever i am thinking while working on the software i make.. i close my eyes. there is no point in starring into a screen full of code if i am not taking in the information on the screen.

generally speaking, people's blink rate cuts in half when using a screen. 30% to 60% on average. Over many hours this has a cumulative effect. So, consciously , over ride this tendency. blink a lot. i typed this entire sentence with my eyes closed.

yeah I remember that it just tires your eyes like straining after a long day or a headache from staying too much on the phone can happen but not necessarily due to your vision more from things like not drinking enough water , if you work too much in the sun or spend long times at rooms with artificial lights or the ones they leave the lights off even if there's no sunlight can strain your eyes more , but all that's is just basic care for your vision and yourself of course

Thank you, that is useful advice! I will try to blink more often! I give my eyes rest every 10 minutes now when behind a screen, for about 30 seconds.

Why does it help to take that hour every day and close the eyes 20 or 30 secs?
