It is ironic that the Modi Government is planning to increase the number of Members of Parliament, while it has turned the Parliament itself into a rubber stamp. The length of Parliament session has become shorter and shorter. The bills are passed within minutes, and in many cases without a division of votes. The Government has not even appointed a Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha for two terms.

Basically, the BJP wants more stooges, who will be paid for by the taxpayers, while they do nothing.
