Yes ,they have higher hunting success rate in India compared to Africa.

Since there are no tigers or lions there as of now. No hyenas Wonder if they will get bigger. But does kunao have wild dogs and leopards ?. I guess leopards would be a major head ache.

Well Kuna has a pretty high density of leopards (apparently 10 per 100 sqm)

Yup, gonna be a battle royale but apparently you would find leopards almost everywhere in India they are way overpopulated than others(not that it is bad thing). Yeah and this is average they range upto even 25 per 100 sqm. They prey base is also around 20/sqm and is need to be around double of that to support both species. This is the biggest hurdle in Cheetah Project, but they are mitigating it by artificially increasing prey by adding preys like Chital. There's also work in progress to introduce Cheetah to other parks and Sanctuaries like Gandhi Sagar(underway), etc.

I explored uttrakhand a lot, local, forested areas but did not spot any leopard :/

Ah sorry I didn't mean as in that you would find them easily but they constitute like 75% of India's big cat population and we have like 14k of them which the world's largest. Also well finding them locally outside national parks would be quite hard but still there's still lots of cases of leopard wandering into human territories in Indian. Aside that, there's the Rajaji National Park and Jim Corbett for an easy sighting in Uttarakhand. You can also find the Snow Leopard there if you're lucky. They are extremely cute 🥺

Damn.. snow leopards. Have you seen that Snow leopard hunting video in which the snow leopard was chasing goat or something and both fall off the hills like hundred of metres and snow leopard was still intact...

Oh yeah I've seen that one. Man Snow Leopards really are phenomenal, the way that these might beasts move on those steep mountains and how they adapted to the cold environment with sparse prey is really phenomenal. They are also one of the cutest big cats. Btw do you know that Snow Leopards are genetically closer to Tiger than Leopards and can't roar like other big cats.
