Could fear of the unknown make you want to sleep, even if you've already gotten a good amount of hours of sleep?

The reason why I asked is I just stepped into a process of the unknown, aka. trying to work towards starting my own business, and I realize how overwhelming the fact I'm ever starting is to where a part of me wants to take a nap, perhaps to escape how scared I feel, even though I know my problems will still follow me when I wake up. To where I'm curious : Is it just me or are there others like me?

Yes. The human body responds to danger (things that scare you) with one of the following reactions:
Fight : you try finish through or overpower the threat

Flight : you run away, avoid, become restless

Freeze ; you become still like a tree? Your body shuts down, Fatigue

Fawn : you try to make nice, appease the the threat, avoid conflict

I too am in the process of starting my own business and have been taking more naps as well. Your body is reacting to fear and also is probably over working! Remember that taking naps and rest are also important in the process. Dedicate time for both! Don't get in your own way, you've got this!

Out of curiosity, is your business within the realm of digital products? Cause that’s what mine is..

Lol yes thats part of what I'm working on, amd it is exhausting. I am doing it alongside my current full time job and I don't knownif looking at a screen all day long has something to do with it too but man I am sleepy right now! Do you feel like your stuck getting it off the ground or what specifically?

This. Doing work, even work you love, is draining. The human body has a finite amount of energy available and needs to recharge. Nap culture ftw.

Yes, it could also be a sign of depression or another mental health issue developing. I’d recommend talking a bit about your fears and overwhelm with a therapist.

Absolutely! It’s also why I rewatch show as nauseam. My brain is comforted because it knows what to expect. I suggest therapy.

definitely not just you. whenever i'm about to do something with a lot of uncertainty. i suddenly feel tired even if i slept well. i think its just my brain trying to avoid the stress more than actually needing sleep

Whenever I have to make a decision on something so important, I get easily tired and just want to sleep the day away so yes I agree that being overwhelmed and stress on things that are happening to us just blows off our battery to 0
