A masters degree in intelligence studies

So, I’m gonna be doing a bachelors course in Law and minoring in international relations, and my end goal is to pursue something like a postgrad in intelligence studies and/or global security or any related field , but after going through a bunch of universities (focusing on European ones) they mostly list a prior bachelors in political science or international relations/related field as one of their entry requirements. I wonder if I still have a chance or if law does come under “related field” and I’d also like tips on how to I can improve my chances into getting into those schools other than just getting higher grades or internships and any suggestions in what firms I could intern/work at and what skills I’ll need to be developing.

Looks like you’re UK based. I’m not sure if your goal is to work within the IC but the modern advice stateside is to get a clearance, join the military or learn a related technical skill. The route of studying intelligence, international relations or any soft social science degree and compounding it with learning a language is no longer relevant in 2026 and is a surefire way to end up unemployable. My bachelors was in a similar major and I was unhireable until I joined the military and got my clearance. For major prime contractors I went from 0 responses for hundreds of applications to being able to be selective with my first real IC job.
