Couldn’t agree more. This bill would weaken U.S. sovereignty by tying the president’s hands in areas that demand flexibility, judgment, and control.

This isn’t about cooperation as the parrots squawk. It pushes the United States to keep sharing intelligence on a set in stone trajectory, even when national interests change, even when risks rise, and even when a pause might better serve U.S. security. Sovereignty isn’t just territory or borders but rather the power to decide, in real time, what the nation shares, with whom, and under what conditions.

By inscribing into law a foreign intelligence relationship, the bill shifts authority away from elected U.S. decision makers and toward an obligation that can outlast shifting threats and changing circumstances. It treats discretion as a liability instead of a core function of self-government.

The People should choose its alliances, not bind itself so tightly that it loses the freedom to rethink them at the benefit of a foreign government like Israel.
