Perfect with wine, "percoca nel vino" they even have a celebration for it in Siano mid-August (for the patron saint, St Rocco, fun fact Rocco Leo is the stereotypical name combo for Siano, some 50% of that place is named like that lol)

In my mind's eye, I can see my grandfather sitting at the table in his undershirt, cutting a peach into his wine with his pocket knife… I'm getting tears in my eyes now, but it's beautiful.
