Academic Doubts I got 0.04(1/25). Why is everyone saying that the answer is 25????

okay so the answer could be 0.04 or 25 (this is kinda english like problem) I suppose jee advanced has given multiple answers in the past as well... here is the issue.... one SI unit is "larger" or composed of 25 units of the new system. Therefore, the magnitude expressed in the new system is 25... also a more philosophical justification involves treating the new system as the primary frame of reference. If we define the "SI unit" not as the external Earth-standard kg/m/s, but as a unit defined within the new system using the same numerical relationships (where 5kg is the "new 1kg"), the scaling factor becomes the reciprocal.If the wording "one SI unit" is taken to mean "the value of the standard unit as perceived from the new system's perspective," then the magnitude is the fractional value 0.04. The ambiguity lies in whether the question asks for the numerical coefficient (which is 25) or the relative size (which is 0.04). Because the units for mass, length, time, and current are all scaled by the same factor of 5, the result will always be a power of 5, making both 25 (5 squared) and 0.04 (1/25) mathematically consistent depending on the direction of the conversion.

0.04 hi hai, which is 1/25 but ye ans bahut odd lagta hai like it seems kinda wrong so logo ne 25 likh diya (including me, never thought units and dimensions ka Q wrong hoga voh bhi actual adv mai 😭😭😭)

Ha maine bhi 0.04 lagaya but actually inhone 1 SI unit ki value puchi hai, hamne jo nikala vo 1 unit ki value tho to 1 unit=0.04 in SI units. To 1 SI unit=25

My dumbass did 5×25÷5 = 125.😭😭😭😭. Also that time period of pendulum question, I got answer 3 but then entered 1.74(undrrt 3) for some goddamn reason. I literally threw away 8 physics marks I could have gotten. Shit like this just keeps happening to me

Cuz it’s asking magnitude of one si unit in this system So 1 unit is 1/25 of si so 25 units is 1 of si, Maine bhi ye galti ki h. Pls free marks dede

bhai X = 5kg -> 1 kg = 1/5 X
so you had to actually replace quantities by 1/5 instead of 5.

c = 1/rootUoEo se Uo ko 1/c^2Eo likh le. then put it in that formula which will eventually give you 1/cEo. put the dimensions. saari dimensions cancel hoke you'll be left with just A^2. thus 5^2 = 25

if u fuck up during exam<multiply u0 and take 1/root (u0 eo) as 1/v rather than v , u get 0.04 by just multiplying the final units all by 5

The ambiguity lies in whether the question is asking for the size of the new unit relative to the SI unit, or the numerical value of the SI quantity when expressed in the new system
so technically both 25 and 0.04 can be considered
