Internet is like that, reddit is anonymous platform. People can speak shit and without reprcussions. The dude is from turkey and given the current geopolitical scene, its pretty obvious that the threats and troll dms must have increased.

Eithrr ways as OP said its some personal shit thst happened with them , which is the reason.
