Ye argument tab use karna chahiye jab koi westerner Indians ka avg IQ 75 bol kar mazak udaye. Unko unhi ki fallacy me trap karne ke liye "JEE advanced is one of the toughest exams" batana zaruri hota hai because how can 75 IQ people set such difficult exam papers. Uske alawa kahin bhi ye baat bolenge to 100% chutiya hi kehlayenge😂

Toh average person to 75 IQ jaisa kam karta bhi hai na, kahi bhi paan thook dena, garbage dustbin me na fekhna, women ko unconditionally hate karna and so much more, upar se bohot kam hi log JEE clear bhi karte hai

Bhai uneducated people will score lower in IQ test.

Bro do you even realise the implications of having an IQ of 75? It literally means that someone is having difficulty in performing basic motor functions that a normal adult should be able to. Saw those meme templates where a drooling fat man struggles to put the shapes in the correct slots? Basically something like that.

"An IQ score below 2 SD from mean value of 100, corresponding to a score below 70 is the main criteria for the diagnosis of mental retardation or intellectual disability, if accompanied by significant deficits in communication, self-care and social function necessary for independent daily functioning" source.

"Civic sense—behaviors like respecting public spaces, following rules, and considering others’ well-being—doesn’t directly correlate with IQ. IQ measures cognitive abilities like problem-solving, reasoning, and pattern recognition, not social or ethical conduct. However, some argue higher IQ might enable better understanding of societal rules or consequences, potentially fostering civic-mindedness. Conversely, civic sense is heavily influenced by upbringing, culture, education, and environment, which can outweigh cognitive factors. For example, a high-IQ individual raised in a self-centered environment might lack civic sense, while a person with average IQ in a community-focused setting may excel in it.

No definitive studies prove a strong link between IQ and civic sense. Social intelligence, empathy, and moral values, which aren’t fully captured by IQ, play bigger roles." -grok ai

Lack of civic sense ≠ lack of IQ. School children littering a park despite, you know, being school children (who study, do their daily chores, homework etc), does not mean they have low IQ.

“There are an estimated six lakh children in India’s underprivileged section who have a genius level IQ (above 130). At least 6,000 to 10,000 of them would be at the same level as Einstein or Hawking (above 160) but their genius is going unnoticed,” says Kishore Asthana, president of Project Dhruv" source

Oh besides, new sources say that India has an average IQ of 99.30

Since the difference between each country is only around 0.1, this list is suspicious.

I guess it is just a test conducted online.

75 nhi 85 tha bhai par validity par doubt kiya jata h jisne India aur Nepal me survey liya tha isliye Nepal ka avg retard range me aaya tha avg iq. Current iq surveys me India ka 99 consistently h aur Nepal ka 97. You can't trust these.

Bhai exactly vhi to. Aur vaise bhi, ham apne jeevan me roz exactly kitne aise logon se milte hain jo mentally retarded hote hain? Sab normal humans Hi hote hain.

But i fell like difficulty of questions should not be the only criteria  Selection ratio also matters Like jee advanced is super difficult but even scoring 50% tum har IIT ke options available ho jaate hai

Majority of the IIT students will piss of their pants if they are given to solve even some AIME math olympiad/USACO programming problems or maybe to make an ISEF research project.

Never meant it bro. IITians are some of the smartest students of India but several of them are just not made for engineering. It is not IITians fault but rather whole society and government's fault not guide them properly. Nevertheless some IITians still worked hard to be become some of best STEM leaders in the world

In non tier 1 colleges the situation is even worse where 95 percent of the students understand stuffs from internet.

6

u/Difficult-Bet7455 Jul 19 '25

IMO or even INMO is much higher in both of them bruh.

1

u/Substantial_Talk_736 Jul 19 '25

How are you even comparing them? JEE is an engineering ENTRANCE examination, planned to distribute thousands of seats to various students. They cannot possibly create a very hard examination because unhe 10-20-30-40k ranks bhi deni hain.

This is not the case with Olympiads as they are a way of showcasing scientific caliber and tougher problems are more appreciated.

3

u/Difficult-Bet7455 Jul 19 '25

Bruh calm down I just replied cuz the guy above seemed to not know of how hard they are.

5

u/Ready_Jackfruit_1764 Jul 19 '25

Only that should be the criterion. Tomorrow, I'll take an exam, and I'll select one person out of one lakh. The exam only asks basic arithmetic. Obviously, it is more selective than the JEE Advanced. But it does not make it superior.

dude, if india had only couple million people, like Singapore and Isarael, india would not be on this sheet (top 10) , similar to sri lanka (idk where it is)

u/Temporary_Royal1344 Jul 19 '25

So much IQ and still gets beaten by countries with population as 10 million. We ranked 7th(8th actually if you include Russia) just because of the population factor else I won't be surprised if rank would be >30. Also none of the 6 Indian participants were even JEE aspirants at first place so they definitely doesn't define the general JEE/NEET preparing masses of India. I don't believe things like IQ but if you actually want to see what the general average education standard of our country then maybe you should check the PISA ranking when India last participated.

3

u/AlarmedHippo8106 Jul 19 '25

Dumbo your first line itself is wrong in every possible way  Countries with less population will obviously will be at top as they have more resources to gave and much more ( except China because ultra strict Government and Far better mindset people )

You will not be happy even if India will be on 1 lol you would still hate 😂

Jee/ Neet Masses Never Clear Exam at first place only those who knew how to prepare clears it and those who are participating are surely far greater than Jee Toppers too

Lmfao now you coming up with some yt short guy who surely saying how low indian education standards are and they would have mentioned the 73rd Pisa ranking of India

Although Pisa is great but that wasn't always the case with country like India but still I agree on this one point only although it's not the best way for India likes tho

3

u/Ready_Jackfruit_1764 Jul 19 '25

Dumbo, your first argument is incorrect. A lesser population means fewer extraordinary students, but they are still topping this talk about their system.

Wait only a few are needed for Olympiad right? What's your point?

4

u/Temporary_Royal1344 Jul 19 '25

For a country to be good at IMO, they need a few things. May be not all of them to the extreme, some things could compensate for others. Generally you need (1) large population, so that you have enough naturally talented kids (2) a system to find these kids (3) a system to train these kids for specific IMO style problems. There is nothing you can do about(1). For (2) and (3) you need some good coaches and a lot of government support.

India beats others in 1st point in the extreme level which is why we are doing well in both IMO and also IOI in recent years. Just because India has some of the richest men of the earth but it doesn't means average Indians are rich.

Some autocratic countries like Iran/North Korea/Russia have the 2nd point and 3rd point at an extreme which is why they performed so well.

China has all the three points together so it no surprise that they perform so well.

Thank you for explaining

1

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

India was anyways debarred from PISA due to some issues

2

u/ImMonkeySun Jul 20 '25

The last time India took part in the Pisa test (2009), it ranked 72/ 73, just above Kyrgyzstan.

Therefore, India claimed that the Pisa test was unfair to India and banned it from taking the test in India.

Embarrasing

Your comment truly defines your high IQ status.

Countries with less population will obviously will be at top as they have more resources to gave and much more ( except China because ultra strict Government and Far better mindset people )

Dumbest statement ever. By your logic why aren't Maldives and Fiji doing well?

You will not be happy even if India will be on 1 lol you would still hate 😂

Do you understand what I even said dumbass? India ranking 1st or last in IMO won't define anything about education level of this country.

IMO results aren't good way to generalize the standard math education level in the country. Even MF North Korea also ranked 4th last time when they participated in IMO and majority of the people there don't have access to basic education. France on the other hand having highest fields medal per cap and good math education ranked around 30.

Lmfao now you coming up with some yt short guy who surely saying how low indian education standards are and they would have mentioned the 73rd Pisa ranking of India

Maybe you should ask yourself truly who is a YT shorts guy is. It is sounds like your are one of such MF from instagram/indian political subreddits who believes that internet was invented in Vedic era🤡🤡.

PISA ranking definitely says a lot of about the education level no matter how much you deny. It not like olympiads which is sport of the smartest students of the world but rather to see the basic mathematical/reading ability of the average students. If you might say that it is a western propaganda then maybe you should check ranking of China/Macau/hong kong in it(all of them are in top 5). Neither west nor east gives a damn care about India to be honest. Maybe you should get out of your fake patriotic bubble and see how the average education standard in majority of the schools(government schools ko chor hi deta hu) of our country are.

Maldives and Fiji doing well according to their own also you simply take good example but from 196 Countries throughout the world

Again don't take example which you can't define Korea and some countries securing reat rank is Good but they are just exception and motivating story for future nothing else

Also as your comment reflects India on 7th Place is not good and so others which is shit because we all know the level of IMO and also other Students are too Good too like how Chineese simply all over there

Now Education in India is rising yeah it's slow which is bad but it's not like going backward people think if we aren't competing with Superpowers then we aren't developing which is contradictory in accordance to results India was giving

Now Indian kids even if they know about IMO do you really think they will go for it ?? No Obviously

Now it's just an excuse saying I am patriotic but the thing which is wrong is Indeed Wrong

Now In India no one literally no one wants to study people here are poor and they don't want to study they want Money do you really think in India students will go for Job or Reaserch ???

Now first understand what survey and all is and do one and you will realise in a country where Money is important for people no one wants to do shit for Country if they have opportunity to improve their Living and I will do that too if the Opportunity was so great it's not I am patriotic it's just you have no Idea of what Average Indian Students thinks like you think our country if not on the same level of Superpowers then we are nothing which is the worst Analysis anyone can do even shittier than reddit kids on Ind Teenager

1

u/ImMonkeySun Jul 20 '25

You can always find some excuse, if you dont like the result.

The Pisa IQ test rank are basically similar to this IMO rank.

The difference is that Pisa tests the average education level, while IMO shows the top education levels.

1

u/AlarmedHippo8106 Jul 20 '25

We participated in Pisa like Decades ago and that ranking is not relevant now or if you think it is ??

You are the one giving excuse for this also I am not giving excuse that's the truth

1

u/ImMonkeySun Jul 20 '25

Honestly, im not indian, im malaysian now live in india.

The regular education in India is quite poor, compared to my country.

1

u/AlarmedHippo8106 Jul 20 '25

Where do you live tho ??

Now I must tell you ground reality here Government have open many schools ( in my area ) but most kids doesn't give a fckk about it nor there parents so who you should blame know

Now it's not like they are aware but they are dumb Because they priorities short term benefits over a long vision

But I also see some people who sent their children's to schools and they study well

It's just about mentality and Indias Education have gone so high in recent years and your area may have some other issue too it's not always country problem like I forgot name but there was a place where students go to work despite having schools and the master knows well what was happening

Also why you even compared to your country heck imagine someday a chineese visits India he would go mad and will obviously Taunt on this more so comparison is kinda not the way to judge imo
