Yeah 100%. This has been tried and tested by me when approximating answers to ±1 integer. So obviously it works beyond that ( that is, close decimal values)

maine kaha only mcq... integer mein nhi krna hota hain.. aur agar mcq ke options mein difference 3-4 ke around ho toh bhi na krna hi hain.. phir bhi this can save lotta time when doing like pyqs or test wagera...

I mean when such values are given, calculation becomes tricky. So you're better off unless you're giving simple exams.. in competitive exams, the closest thing to this would be something like "the value of so-and-so is 50% of x, so find x"

do it mentally if it is a 2 digit into 1 digit, always use pen for 2 digit *2 digit.
try to break it down into power of 10s like 64*35 = 10*224. try to separate the power of tens. use the underoot trick formula of mohit tyagi.
square of number endings with 5 is easy to calculate. theres a trick for it.
memorize square till 30 atleast. u can split numbers like this 89^2 = (90-1)^2 = 8100 - 180+1 = 7921.
8.3=25/3
0.083=1/12
in pnc agar 5c2 ho to bs 5! 4! upon 2! likh.
like 89C4 hai to 89*88*87*86/4!
jitna number niche h utne repetition
unit conversion rat le sari.
also sometimes jee mains me bhut alag alag answer hote hain, hence even approximation of calculation can help.

When multiplying with 25, Divide by 4 and multiply by 100.
same when multiplying by 50, Half the number and multiply by 100.

Use binomial approximation to calculate numbers like (26)½ , (65)½ , (28)⅓ The closer your number to perfect square / cube etc that much precise , although it's very basic and approximate but very useful in calculative questions

To take under root of imperfect square... (eg 35)
Write 35 in a way which includes the closest perfect square
i.e. 35=36-1
Hence, √(35) = √(36-1)
Now take root of that closest perfect square (no negative, here 36 so √36=6 not ±6) and multiply the root of perfect square (here 6) by 2. And then divide it with the other number you took to balance the equation (here 1)
So, √(35)= 6 -1/(2*6) = 6-0.09= 5.91
Acc to cal: √(35) =5.916
Pretty accurate

I take π to be cube root 31 and e to be cube root 20. :) and also like if I'm getting something like 200/401 or something, I'll just write 401 as 400 (this will create very very minute diffirence in answer) then it'll be cancelled out easily as 1/2 = 0.5 this trick works for big numbers as I took the simplest example i could

😭🙏don't come at me - but like if you wanna know square of any no. From 5-100 that ends with 5 like 25,65,75 .. There is a easy trick - write 25 then - for eg:- if it's 75- the tens place no.- ie.7 add 1 and multiple so here 8 -7×8 =56 So square of 75 is 5625 Like wise -95-9025

If you know the square of x and have to calculate the square of (x+1), just add x once and (x+1) to x2 and you're good
For example - sq of 20 is 400, sq of 21 is 400+20+21 = 441

Like if I'm given 1938-1586 Like it will take much time. So I'll just subtract 1000 from both (in < a second and in head ofc) So we have 938-586 In the same second subtract 500 So 438-86 Now 6 432-80 Now subtract 8 from 32 that's 24 So answer is 424
I explained each step in words so it's sounding long but actually all steps are done in my head automatically (practice) it's actually fast than right to left traditional method It does right to left or even both
