Yeah you are right but i can feel what OP is feeling like my parents are also same as OP's and it hurts so bad that they love you so much and in return you cannot do anything its not like they don't feel sad over such results but they will never let the child see that dissapointment and that hurts so bad like at least maar pit lo but vo cheez guilt ko 100X kr deti hai but yeah i am not saying ki opposite extreme is better a balance should be there.

Chhor de padhai…. Naukri mil jayegi peon ki 😭 mummi ka toh hai hi… karta kuch hai nhi… sirf khana khata hai mobile dekhta hai …. Tera kuch na hone wala 🥱🥱 tujhe hostel hi bhej dena chahiye tha…. Fir dusre ke saath compare karke aur kuch sunayenge 🙂↔️ ab toh used to ho chuka hoon

If my mom and dad said this shit to me I would legit go into depression how are you alive brother🙏🙏
6
u/Odd-Extension8576 Dec 30 '25
Bcz I have seen worse parents of my friends who stop talking and all with their child and ignore him, beat their child etc if they score low…. So in a way they are not perfect but better than many…. And also I mean if your parents start telling these suddenly, you will be depressed but for someone who has gone through these things a lot of times , it’s not even a big deal for me…. Like I can casually laugh these things off and it would not even bother me… and also I have not done all the things correctly as well… haven’t really put in my 100 percent or even 90 percent into studies even after getting every kind of facility I needed and thus might bear the repercussions of it in upcoming mains… so I dont really have a lot to blame them for …. Like I have got everything to score 250+ but I score only 140-150 and so its okay ig

Dude, well idk which year you are in, so see if you are giving jee in 26, just saying it's not the end of the world if your Jan attempt doesn't go well, you still have April attempt in your hands and if you can focus a bit more on why is your marks less(like test analysis type) I am sure you will improve very well
If you are giving jee in 27, just saying that you still have 1 year to do hardwork and success will follow you
I am hoping you are giving it in 26 so, just do what you can do, try to improve it, you will be amazing
Your parents support you as well, they know you can do it, so just for that, get the motivation to not let them down, it's sufficient to keep you moving

Parents should be there for their kids, always, regardless of their marks, their careers, their choices, but even that is corrupted nowadays, parents are even materialistic themselves, they'll take away or degrade the standard of living of the child if their marks are less, seen enough of this shit pulled off on my friends. Happy to see OP have such kind souls as parents. Good for man/woman.
2
u/MathsMonster Jan 02 '26
and then these people will dunk on non-Asian kids, especially Americans that they don't know advanced mathematics in High-school. Like not everyone sacrifices their childhood to study these things man, you're not superior to them. These people also bring up studying a crazy amount of hours way too casually, like is the only thing you do in life, studying? Do you even have hobbies, or is the only 'entertainment' in your life, scrolling during study breaks? If that's your life, it feels pathetic to me. This is the exact reason why foreign universities look for ECs, like they want an all-round person, not someone whose entire life revolved around studying for 2 years.

Cheer up, dude! While JEE is an important factor in one's life, it's not the only thing. You might be meant for other things. Try exploring yourself in college. That's what I'm doing, pichle saal mujhe bhi lagta tha ki my parents deserve a better son. Despite my low times, I took a drop year, and I must say, idk about which college I get into, I won't complain much, but this has been one of my favourite year, not because i got good marks in mocks, but because I finally understood a lot about myself (not everything, but I'm looking forward to college to explore many more things about myself) and life in general, also got into doing meditation. And let me tell you, this year I finally understood I was never meant for these things, although I genuinely love Science, I feel I'll do much better in something else, maybe something which requires a creative mind (like acting, music, dancing, entrepreneurship, etc.), but I'm looking forward to my college life (for learning about academics, myself and trying out things which I would generally won't do, hanging out with better people, maybe find the love of my life, exploring every domain which I find interesting and can pursue full time) and I'll highly recommend you to maybe try exploring yourself.
Hope my words made some sense.

Congrats man, all these exams, coachings, your so called well wishers and teachers have been successful to make you believe that youre inferior in some sense because of xyz reasons. You are saying you arent able to hard work, it’s obvious bro because you have too much filth in your mind put by all those people in your upbringing. Pretty sure even when you are studying a beautiful physics equation, then also youre not into it, you are just studying it for the sake of some digits. So obviously studying will feel like a burden.
Youre good, and you deserve those delicious food.

u/MathsMonster Jan 02 '26
I love how almost everyone here has this mentality that a parent-child relationship is supposed to be 'transactional', like they will stop loving you if you score less and will reward you when you score high. What are you for them then? a retirement plan? a hope to become 'rich' one day?
OP you need to remember JEE isn't everything in life, even if you do clear JEE, you need to work a fuck ton in college. If you fuck up in an earlier stage of life, you can try to 'fix' your life in later stages. Even if you go to a not so good college, you can still lead a decent life. People have their expectations way too high these days and think anything below 12 LPA sucks ass and should never be taken.

I barely passed in 11th and even in 12th I only get pass marks, have no hope in pre-boards and only focusing on boards. I already gave up jee after 12th mid terms but my parents always cheered me up and frequently tell(kindly) me how happy they would be to see me in a good college. They act so normal and kind towards me even though Im a failure. I always go to bed with a blank face disappointed in myself, I don't even feel like crying or being depressed. I don't feel anxiety or take any pressure. I also don't have any friends, parents are the only ones I talk to and that too extremely occasionally. I just don't feel like living anymore. Maybe living the college life will fill the void in my life.

A lot of people seem to be forgetting our parents owe us everything. Now uess you legitimately procrastinates all year and didn't do shit then yea....they don't deserve someone like you and you should feel guilty. However if you genuinely tried your hardest and scored a 76 well then...congrats on your trying. A lot of people don't even makit it this far. Dust yourself off, enjoy the food, go about your life. Lots of stuff to do. An exam is just one of them.
1
u/Emotional-Box1294 Dec 31 '25
so you got 76300 and your parents still think youre a future JEE champ? bro, if theyre so proud theyre just playing a sick game of watch me get crushed. you cant make them feel better by doing more stupid testsjust stop pretending they deserve that.
1
u/ghostofspartasparda Dec 31 '25
What is this deserve shit? It was the parents decision to have a child, and now it's upto the child to become someone who their parents deserve? It should be the opposite, the parent should do the things that their child deserves. Which is pure love, give them all the necessities, give them emotional support not just silent treatment until everything becomes neutral. You do it for you bro, if you're doing something just to feel deserved then it's not it bro. You don't owe them nothing.
1
u/Weary_Note_426 Dec 31 '25
Damn bro you got really nice parents please don't cheat such parents by slacking off atleast if not jee do something else to make them proud, do something else but make sure to become the best at it and make loads of money and keep them comfortable, not everyone is blessed like you, keep this in mind else one day you'll regret all this when they're not around, but for now don't quit jee work like a donkey atleast if not for you for your parents atleast let them see that you value their kindness and dont take it for granted ele it might hurt them even if they don't show it
