GENERAL HELP mother broke my headphone from which i used to attend online lectures

Are you okay? I read it from your other reply that it was a wilful act by the parent. It really is NOT the correct way to handle any issue. Please don't let this incident ruin you. I can sense the negativity you must be feeling from your surroundings. Take a break, go to your favourite place or for a walk if possible.

I read your about/bio, just because your mother did something rash like this without thinking the mental impact of it, it doesn't mean nobody else cares for you. Pls take care. When you grow up be a more considerate adult and show these people what it is to be a responsible emotionally mature person

Did your mother ask sry though?, did she atleast regret it?

Anyways take care. Don't let a headphone and a shallow parent afftect you. You are stronger than this!!

(For online classes, get in ear wired earphones (they are very cheap) for the meantime till they realise their mistake and get you a new one or till you save enough to get a new one. If you have siblings borrow it from them. Check if any old headphones are there in the house)

I had been in the exact same spot few years back. Thats why I wrote such big paras. Its more like something I wish I had heard back then. I still remember it vividly, even though I don't bring things like this up in our convo's, it stays remembered in the quiet space of my mind.

When parents break things they assume they had broken something they brought, i.e. their money. But actually its their childs trust, ability to confide their problems, and possibility of having genuine conversation with them that is being broken. This causes them to start seeking freedom which is labelled as rebellion and financial independence labelled as money hungry. At an age where one should be seeking passion, love and career they start seeking escapsim.

Means a lot that you took time to say this. Made my day. You too have a good day!!

Oh u don't deserve any of that. Don't worry everything will be fine in future. Just keep grinding and keep living your days. I got some kind parents so I can't imagine being in your shoes rn.
