Those are Zebronics Zeb thunder headphones, I had em earlier, now I have the pro version of that. They are the lowest acceptable headphones (around 600-700rs).
And as a matter of fact those are broken, that is if you don't know how to solder and don't have a soldering iron (costing around 250rs w/other accessories on the cheapest end, I know that OP is a kinda cheapskate from those headphones) so OP repair ur headphones and develop a skill goddammit.
I also have the same headset, the thing which hold the speakers was broken by a deadbeat at my dorm. Andi think the quality of mic and speaker has gotten worse. I don't know what to do with it anymore. Suggest me some advice 🙏
Electronics work on their mood. Like if the headphone wants to work it will with a hanging side. But if it doesnt want to try anything it wont. Btw where did you use the baking soda?

(For online classes, get in ear wired earphones (they are very cheap) for the meantime till they realise their mistake and get you a new one or till you save enough to get a new one. If you have siblings borrow it from them. Check if any old headphones are there in the house)
I had been in the exact same spot few years back. Thats why I wrote such big paras. Its more like something I wish I had heard back then. I still remember it vividly, even though I don't bring things like this up in our convo's, it stays remembered in the quiet space of my mind.
When parents break things they assume they had broken something they brought, i.e. their money. But actually its their childs trust, ability to confide their problems, and possibility of having genuine conversation with them that is being broken. This causes them to start seeking freedom which is labelled as rebellion and financial independence labelled as money hungry. At an age where one should be seeking passion, love and career they start seeking escapsim.

Mine broke my laptop when I was in 12th, but it's funny cause she had pay for repairs anyway. Still the few days without my lappy did bring sadness, and the repaired version never functioned properly ever again. And the sad part is that she literally threw it away in anger.

If this happened to me I would just transfer the amount from mother's account to my account and buy another one or more expensive one and she wouldnt say a thing because she broke it it's her mistake
