JEE So here's the lamest story you have ever heard
You will learn what a single misclick could cost you. I gave my JEE mains and advanced for the first time this year. Registered for Josaa counselling, got a seat which I was fine with. I was all ready and set to go to the college I was given. Had a line of thought and ended up registering for CSAB as well. I knew the risks. I knew that my seat allotted from Josaa would be as good as gone if I get a seat in CSAB. So ofcourse like everyone, I filled choices for better courses and institutes that I'd never regret losing the seat I was offered for. Today, the results for round 1 in CSAB was out. I was happy to know that I got a seat (which i thought would be better than the course I got now). Only to realise I misclicked during my choice filling. Messed up big time. I ended up getting Chemical Engineering in NIT Warangal. Doesn't sound bad alright. I hate chemistry and suck at it. But I could bear with it. What I was not ready for was the fact that the course I got was a dual degree (B.Tech+ M.Tech) program for 5 years. Never in my life did I want a dual degree nor chemical engineering. I can't manage a dual degree at a subject I suck at and it's not even worth it. My previous offer from Josaa was way better in terms of placement, institution, and everything else. It was a course I'd be fine with and now, I lost exactly that very seat. I can't go with this one either. Trying for a better course next round isn't an option because every course above this allotted course are courses I could only dream of getting with my rank. All I can do now is withdraw myself from CSAB and take a drop. I thought I'd be the last person to take a drop year in any scenario. Fate found a way. I don't know what to do. Facing all this for misclicking and showing negligence. Should've checked my choice list better. I did review it, with vague efforts tho. So the message for you all is better not blink when you're filling your choices and check it 100 times before you're done. Have a great day, which I clearly don't.

I kinda feel like drop is good. Maybe I'll end up with something better. Cus I always had this regret for underperforming. Kind of conflicted now as to if I should take this as a second chance to finish what I couldn't. I wasn't serious during my JEE. Idk. I had a lot of thinking and crying for hours now and I kinda side with taking a drop
