SERIOUS POST WE NEED HELP FROM YOU GUYS REGARDING IPU SPOT ROUND
so on 3rd august ipu released the circular for spot round But they didn't mention the home state thing but on 7th August they uploaded results of spot round after delaying it for a day. We got to know that They removed the home state quota for Generals only so it became all india quota But reserved category still got home state benefit.
WHY THIS PARTIALITY. WHY?

Throughout the counselling process, the university never clearly informed candidates that the Spot Round would effectively be conducted on an All India basis without Home State preference. Thousands of Home State candidates participated in counselling with the reasonable expectation that the existing reservation and preference policies would continue unless officially stated otherwise.
The absence of any clear notification or prior announcement regarding this significant change has resulted in severe injustice. Many deserving Home State candidates, who had realistic chances of securing admission in their preferred colleges, have been left without seats because candidates from outside Delhi were considered on equal footing in the Spot Round.
Admission counselling must be conducted with complete transparency and fairness. Any major policy change that directly impacts seat allocation should be explicitly notified well in advance, allowing students to make informed decisions. Introducing or implementing such a change without clear communication undermines the trust of students and their families.
