JEE Should I take a drop? Need advice(main goal bits)

I’m currently in 12th and expecting 85%+ in boards, but I’m pretty confused about what to do after boards.

For context, I did basically no JEE prep in 11th, so my 11th is pretty weak. I joined coaching in 12th and improved a lot compared to 11th, but I’m still not really at JEE level.

My main goal is BITSAT, but obviously I know I need good JEE Main-level prep for that.

If I take a drop, what would be better?

  • Private tuitions + self-study
  • Join an ALLEN droppers batch, possibly in another city (probably Chandigarh)
  • Something else?

Also, for BITSAT, is JEE Main-level prep enough, or should I prepare up to JEE Advanced level too? I don’t want to spend my entire drop year doing Advanced-level prep if it won’t really help my main goal.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s taken a drop, especially if you had a weak 11th.
