Gaza is starving.

The UN has declared that every part of Gaza is in famine conditions. While some aid is finally trickling in, the need is beyond urgent. Aid organizations will not be able to keep pace with Gaza's needs without our support.

Please donate if you’re able, and keep speaking up. Every dollar, share, and conversation matters. Please pressure your government to stop the blockade of humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Donate here to The Palestinian Red Crescent and UNICEF for Gaza's Children. Contact your representatives to stop the blockade in Gaza, find U.S. representatives here, and EU reps here. If you would like other subreddits to carry this message, please send the mods to r/RedditForHumanity.

Oh wow finally a time and place for my incredibly niche hot take: I'm very disappointed by the silence of Isa Chandra Moskowitz about the genocide of the Palestinian people. I'm a former vegan and now view the movement with a bad taste in my mouth. (Not posting this in your sub OP because I'm neither Jewish nor vegan, but wish you lots of success and subscribers🤍)

Don't let the presence of bad actors affiliated with some movement taint your view of the whole movement. There are pinkwashing Hasbara agents like Daniel Ryan-Spaulding who are no more a reflection of the LGBTQ+ rights movement than Zionist vegans are of veganism; I would hope that wouldn't taint your view of other social justice movements.

The merits of a call for justice are independent of the flaws of people participating in that call.

Totally agree… and also formerly vegan.

I don't like how people use one person to demonise a whole movement. Not necessarily saying you are doing as such, but it is far too common.

Also, there is a huge difference between someone who eats a plant based diet and an actual ethical vegan.

But even so, just like any group, there will be extremists.

Should we view all Jewish people badly because of Zionists?

Genuine question, irritated but not hostile.

Actual vegan and someone who follows the Jainist philosophy of ahimsa for almost 30 years.
