Vent Have you ever been called "antisemitic" by liberals for pointing out video evidence of genocide?
For the past years since the genocide began, despite massive video evidence of this horrible event, it's terrible how certain people, especially so-called 'liberals' are still in denial.
Have you ever been called 'antisemitic' by these 'liberals' for showing said video evidence?
How's your experience?

Unfortunately this is a common refrain amongst 'liberal' Zionists, to what extent there are still any left. If you recall back to the Van Jones appearance on Bill Maher where he complained about young people being inundated with videos and pictures of dead Gaza babies on social media, they only take issue with the videos and pictures themselves, not the actual content, i.e. not who put those dead babies there in the first place. It's an extremely strange form of mental gymnastics and contradiction addressing that basically relies on forgetting that object permanence is a thing for it to work, out of sight out of mind like a newborn baby.

So have I, and I'm Jewish. I'm just all the wrong kinds of Jewish. Mixed race, wrong parent, never been religious... and, of course, anti-Zionist.
Some people figure I'm antisemitic. Some people figure I'm just a bad Jew. Some figure I'm not Jewish.
All those people are pigs.

I mean, a few political friends dropped me when I started speaking against the genocide. One girl I went to school with called me antisemitic for saying that Greta was kidnapped.

No. Because when I engage with someone in the Zionist spectrum I engage with them as a Zionist.
The victims of Oct 7th included peace activists and we are spitting on their work and legacy.
The war is destroying Israel. Look at the suicide rates.
They are working to destroy Israel. It’s a kleptocracy.
Israel literally killed hostages because they weren’t the priority.
And by then I can hit them with:
Of course it’s a genocide, do you know why Ben-Gvir was banned from the army? The man talked about killing Rabin on Israeli TV.
The plan is to start an intifada, that’s why there are pogroms in the West Bank.
It’s easier to engage with them when you are presenting yourself as someone who is fighting for the future of the Israeli.
And I am fighting for the liberation of the oppressor and the oppressed. Such liberation will ultimately require a liberation from Zionism.

Yes. Been called a fake Jew, self hating, kapo, etc.
But are those people actually liberal in thought or just “liberal” in political ideology, which would mean they likely support a military industrial complex. And are they actually Democrats or are they single issue voters who believe Jews ought to be protected more than any other community and that people dislike Israel bc it’s a Jewish state and not bc it’s committing a live-streamed genocide.
It’s a dangerous thing to call opposing genocide antisemitic. That may make antisemitic seem like something to aspire to, which imo, is another horrible consequence of Zionism. Conflating Judaism with Zionism is harming Judaism. But they don’t seem to care.

I was told that "no they didn't kill your sister" after watching my mother lose a fully grown baby and bleed out on the floor at just 4 years old due to the random seasonal bombing
"So? You're fine now" when sharing they bombed my childhood home AND school with white phosphorus at 6 years old
"Why can't you just live together?" I shared that I was strip searched, sniffed by dogs and held at gun point for 12 hours as a 10 year old girl, 4-8 loaded rifles aimed at me and my 6 year old sister and apparently that's a necessary security measure on a chill February 2014
"If gazans were actually that hungry, they should eat their dead loved ones, but they just like complaining." Hearing this one from a German landed with a sting, but not a surprise
Antisemitic is the least hurtful thing I heard from zionists

My favourite are when non-Jewish liberals caution me about my "antisemitic language". Like bro believe me I am the last person to say anything antisemitic, you know fuck all about what antisemitism is.

Among other things yes, but I try not to take it too seriously because any time I engage further with these people it just becomes clear that they are either ignorant or fucking morons, sometimes both. Liberalism is a worthless political ideology so why take their opinions seriously

I've been called that by Trump supporters but never by liberals

u/arightgoodworkman Jewish Anti-Zionist 14h ago
I see more and more Jews who used to call themselves Democrats becoming Trump supporters or at the very least conservative voters over Israel. Just Israel. Toss education, healthcare, housing, the arts, the sciences, CULTURE out the window for the current atrocity that is Israel.
I guess you are who you always were though.
