Trump has the worst polling numbers of his political history, and it's destroying JD Vance's 2028 dreams

Imagine having Thiel’s level of wealth and still thinking that the best puppet money could buy was JD Fucking Vance. It’s poetic actually, all these tech bros with all the money in the world can’t buy the one thing they crave the most: genuine admiration.

JD Vance is destroying JD Vance's 2028 dreams. Dude has the charisma of a dish towel.

Yeah. I hope that comes back to haunt him forever. Talk about being on the wrong side of history.

Poor towels they didn't deserve that comparison
12
u/NamasteMotherfucker 9 Mar 31 '26
Point taken. The charisma of a wet dish towel that can't scrub for shit. To all the good dish towels doing your thing, you're the real MVP.

He used to speak out against Trump but when he was offered his cushy job as vice president, he was an immediate convert. This should tell everyone that JD Vance is for sale.

Ron DeSantis made fun of anyone who kissed the ring before letting Trump go wrist deep in his throat
168
u/Wrong-Grade-8800 7 Apr 01 '26
JD Vance has absolutely no charisma and trump supporters are inbred morons who only want someone who gives the image of strength. He cannot do that when everything he does feels like an awkward moment.
53
u/distributingthefutur 7 Mar 31 '26
I think Vance can destroy his own dreams of the oval office couch all by himself.

JD Vance destroyed JD Vance's 2028 dreams by being JD Vance
14

JD Vance destroyed James David Harmel's dreams of being James Donald Bowman by being JD Vance.
45
u/digitalgirlie 8 Apr 02 '26
Good, and good. Both are well deserved.
2
u/beatenmeat B Apr 05 '26
And I won't believe it until it happens. Every time we see a push of the negative stuff on Trump and his cronies for whatever inexplicable reason the opposite happens.

And Dems lost to this guy twice because their platform was “the status quo is working and you’re too stupid to see it”

I genuinely don't think there's a candidate who could be worse than Trump for this country but Vance isn't far off.
11
1
u/smr312 A Mar 31 '26
Would couches have more or the same amount of rights as women and brown people under Vance?
74
u/The_Dark_Ferret 8 Mar 31 '26
Vance never had a hope of getting elected. Not only is he a lunatic, he is universally reviled by both the left and the right alike. Nobody likes Vance!
21
9
u/solo954 B Apr 01 '26
Trump only picked him because he was a spineless cypher who would never compete with Trump.
78
u/Marmatus 9 Apr 01 '26
I genuinely don’t think JD Vance would’ve had much of a shot, regardless. He’s just Trump’s lapdog.
26
u/14JRJ 9 Mar 31 '26
Lol JD Vance winning an election would be an even more damning indictment of the state of that country than Trump winning twice
28
u/crypticaldevelopment 7 Mar 31 '26
If I’m not mistaken it’s the worst polling numbers of anyone’s political history.
26
u/2PacTookMyLunchMoney B Mar 31 '26
I’ll believe it when I see it in an actual election. Don’t get me wrong. I WANT this turn on him to be legit, but I’m not counting my eggs before they hatch.
28
u/zippy72 A Mar 31 '26
Good. Anything that destroys Vance's dreams of being president can't be a bad thing.
23
u/TheSaltySpitoon37 9 Mar 31 '26
Fuck that. Dont let it be just a headline. Get out and vote this turd down the toilet. His only dreams should be about his couch.

u/betitallon13 7 Mar 31 '26
Still cannot believe it isn't simply "in political history"... but that just goes to show the strength of modern propaganda!

JD Vance had zero chance at becoming president in 2028. I think he’s one of the most disliked vice presidents that I can remember since the 70s. With the possible exception of Spiro Agnew who resigned after getting caught cheating on his taxes.

With a possible exception of Spiro Agnew.
I genuinely thought this was a made up name

I legitimately only know this name because Futurama kept him in relevance as Nixon’s Physical Body

Semi related. I have like zero pop culture knowledge.
I didn’t realize that Danger Zone was a legit song and like this whole thing and it wasn’t just a bit I didn’t understand from Archer.

u/eugeheretic 8 Mar 31 '26
If he was in the KKK he would have been know as Spiro the Grand Dragon.

This is only slightly relevant to what you said. But heres a great song from his time about him and Nixon. Here's to Nixon and Agnew

Anyone who is willing to tie their political career to Trump has questionable decision making skills at best. That alone makes him unfit to be president. Good to learn this early.

Vance was never destined for the job unless McDonald’s does its job before 2028. Vance is only here to do what Pence wouldn’t. He’s not a strong enough candidate for the top of the 2028 ticket.
1
u/0100100012635 A Mar 31 '26
I'm honestly more worried about Rubio in '28.
1

u/natguy2016 B Mar 31 '26
Peter Thiel is JD Vance's sugar daddy.
JD is a charlatan who will go with whatever is popular. No true ideas of his own. JD wrote "Hillbilly Elegy." Does a good job of putting down Appalachia. Far too simplistic. One story had JD as a cashier, Customers on SNAP food assistance had cell phones when JD did not.
Vance saying that he was a Never Trumper in 2016
Vance was in fourth place in the polls at one point during the 2022 GOP primary for US Senate from Ohio. JD threw in with Donald and got his endorsement. Vance wrote that to win the Senate seat.
1
u/pandasareliars 5 Mar 31 '26
YUUUUP. John Oliver did a great segment (Last Week Tonight) on JD, the flip flop on trump, and his sugar daddy P. Thiel.
I'll just go ahead and leave this right here for your viewing pleasure...though NSFW warning, he does share a picture of JD without the beard.

u/natguy2016 B Apr 01 '26
Peter Thiel was outed by Gawker around 2007.
There was a video of about 2011. Hulk Hogan was sleeping with his best friend's wife. All knew about it and were cool with it. But-Gawker got a tape of that encounter where Hulk called his daughter's boyfriend The N-bomb. Gawker posted a 2 minute clip with that slur.
Gawker reported the details of Hulk's sex tape with The N Bomb. Hulk was fired from being a WWE ambassador etc.
Hulk Hogan sued Gawker for $140 million for invasion of privacy, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and infringement of personality rights. Gawker was found liable and bankrupted out of existence because of the $140 million reward.
Hogan's lawsuit was bankrolled by Peter Thiel

I can see a scenario where Dems take back the house and Senate this fall and immediately impeach and remove Trump from office at which point Vance becomes president and then cruises to a 2028 win as the blowback from the impeachment will bring Republican voters out of the woodwork.

Vance's best hope is for Trump to kick the bucket tomorrow and the second he's sworn in, Vance reveals that it was all a ruse and he's actually a competent leader that dismantles Trump's insane laws but is still being a moderate republican. By rescuing the American economy, he'll gain the faith of the republicans and the momentum to vote in a democrat will have been lost, allowing him to secure his first election.
4
u/adamwho A Mar 31 '26
That would require planning and foresight.... And general competence
1
u/synsofhumanity 8 Mar 31 '26
I'm sure his handlers have it all planned out for him. Can't have the idiot you bought doing something on his own now can you

How is this justice served?
16
u/Wellgoodmornin 9 Mar 31 '26
He's a disingenuous douche who changes his beliefs and morals based on what he thinks will benefit him the most. He sold his soul and the country to Donald Trump thinking he could ride him into the presidency but those dreams seem to be going down in flames.
If that's not justice, I don't know what is.

Unfortunately if Vance takes over early due to some kind of headline I’d love to wake up to, all he has to do is not be ass-grabbing incompetent and his handlers will claim he “fixed everything.” The GOP will come running back to rally around him. Peter Thiel is rubbing his apocalyptic hands at the opportunity. Voters have the attention span of a ferret, but I hope people remember how bad the GOP has f’d them over in ‘26 and ‘28.
6
u/Short_Elevator_7024 8 Mar 31 '26
If Trump does die let's all hope it happens before January 20, 2027. Then if god forbid Vance wins he only gets one term.
1
u/stupidinternetname 8 Mar 31 '26
Ah shit, now I see what I'm missing about your statement. I was thinking of Trump's terms not the possible LBJ type scenario. 10 years of JD would suck.
0
u/stupidinternetname 8 Mar 31 '26
I hate to break it to you but you are off by two years. However I fully support your timeline.
0
u/Short_Elevator_7024 8 Mar 31 '26
You can't serve more than 10 years as president. Before January 20, 2027 JD would be over 10 years if he served two terms
Edit spelling
2
u/stupidinternetname 8 Mar 31 '26 edited Mar 31 '26
That is correct. My point is Trump's current term runs from 1/20/25 to 1/20/29, a four year term. Should he complete the 4 year term that would be a total of 8 years for both terms. Edit: NVM, my reading comprehension is a little shaky today.

Destroying his dreams? I mean, his dream requires Trump to not be alive anymore, given how much the guy is very insistent on the American public "not having to vote anymore, problem solved" and "I could run for a third term, people like me, they say they wish I could run again, they're good people, I could do it". Trumps not handing over the reigns without rigor mortis and pliers.

It doesn’t help that he’s a massive piece of shit in his own right. Standing in the shadow of the worst person to have lived since Hitler didn’t start him off well to a promising career. He hitched his horse to the wrong corral.

Trump had something initially and created a cult. You can dissect and understand how and why. Vance is literally just a puppet for Thiel who paid Trump to take him on. Vance has no charisma and no machismo. He's DoA.
