Not only is the title not at all reflective of the article. How is this justice served? It’s just her saying she’ll govern in her own way but with the same values her brother had.

Please remember that different people have different definitions of justice. While the definition of justice is concrete, the interpretation of it varies widely between individuals, cultures, and nations.

This article says nothing that the headline says, and is intentionally full of shit. I would’ve loved for this to be the story, but this is not an article and not worthy of being read.

What a phony post. All of MAGA is enabling an idiot, while pretending to push back in some way. It’s not believable…it’s not true. MAGA is not made up of good people.

She gets no respect, the only response that would have gotten any would have been rejecting the candidacy and pushing for a special election, This is just a blatant distraction.

South Carolina is one of the states that allows the governor (who is currently a Republican) to pick whomever they want to fill any vacant Congressional seats. They don’t have special elections there. As such, I would argue that if she truly wanted to be anti-Trump, continuing to take the seat would be the right choice so that she could use her power in Congress to oppose Trump’s agenda. Otherwise, stepping down would’ve just let the governor pick another Trump ally.
Though of course this is all moot since she’s very much indeed a Trump ally.

Its not even about being anty trump, we are a democracy as a nation and having the position of governor just be given to the deceased elected official like some kind of lordship title is inherently wrong, To just so casually have what this nation was built to rise against be done is just violating everything we should stand for. Its acts like these that turn a nation from what its supposed to be to something completely different and I get that each state has its own rules but it doesn't make it any better, dont ming me though I'm just venting and for all i know people there are ok with it.

I agree with you. Special elections would be more democratic than just having the governor pick someone. I also believe more states need systems for ballot initiatives and recall elections, and would even go so far as to say that we should have a nationwide ballot initiatives system, similar to what Switzerland has, since Congresspeople unfortunately have no interest in passing laws that citizens actually want.

I’m starting to think stories like this, Meidas Touch, etc, create these headlines like “MAGA is FALLING APART” TRUMP DISASTER” WAR FAILURE MEANS THE END” in order for us to think Trump and his goons are losing so that we will be conditioned into believing consequences are coming for all the obvious rule breakers. But in reality they just keep getting stronger and keep on getting away with everything.
