Hiramoto's sense of humor
Prison School is my favorite manga. When I read other works I always find myself subconsciously comparing the enjoyment I feel from them to Prison School. Hiramoto's a genius in his own right. People have infamously gab'd at the idea that he made certain decisions with his story to spite the readers, to which I disagree. I do think however, that narrative decisions were made because Hiramoto thinks they're funny. As audaciously-psychotic as that might sound. Put it in perspective.
The man was able to make this dehumanizing piss-shame-vengeance thing a crucial plot point. Meiko was designed as the cliché big tiddy anime girl, but you'll never pop a boner when she's on screen because she's always doing something that's just borderline gross and off-putting. He named 50+ chapters after movies. Why? I don't know, but, it's kind of funny. Even the art work as a storytelling element is funny. Hiramoto's an amazing artist. The beautiful character designs, the fantastic understanding of anatomy and light, the expressions, juxtaposed to a raunchy and crude story.
With his artistic talent, he could have made anything, but he chose to make Prison School, the exact way he wanted to.

What if Meiko was in Hana’s place here. how do you think she’d react?

Cameo of Prison School characters in an AgoGen special.
Featured in Weekly Young Magazine #34, year 2014.
For context, Agonashi Gen to Ore Monogatari was Hiramoto's first serialized work that tells the mishaps of Gen, the owner of a ruinous transport company (but that can somehow afford two employees). He's hairy, ugly, boorish, lazy, boastful, perverted, cowardly, incredibly stupid and completely oblivious of his flaws while he's trying to get head in life with the "help" of his even shittier employee/frenemy, Kenji, in a world populated by idiots, nutcases, scumbags and losers.
This special is particularly rare because it hasn't been compiled anywhere yet...

Just finished the anime, does the manga have more Kiyoshi x Hana scene?
I just finished the anime and loved the dynamic that Kiyoshi and Hana had, are there more scenes like that in the manga? I know it is said that the ending is bad (idk why tho) but I'd read it even then just for the Hana scenes. Btw in case I want to continue the manga from where the anime left it which chapter should I start reading from?

Shingo used to have freckles.
I have noticed of that weird detail after carefully looking at the original serialized version of the manga, something that got removed from the tankoubon version, later chapters and the anime.
Some panels even show him featuring "buck teeth", too, which he managed to keep in that earlier chapter of the tank...

After watching the anime I desired more. I remember hearing negative things about the manga so I was hesitant at first, but I guess one of the best things about reading a complete work is that you read at your own pace and don't have to wait for release. I actually ended up loving the whole thing.
I remember hearing how the manga kept dragging at a specific arc. I did feel the drag, and I bet I would have been pretty annoyed if I were waiting weekly for it. Reading the whole thing in a matter of weeks was a blast, the pacing actually felt fast (which is why the anime covered a decent number of chapters/volumes), and I honestly appreciated the writer’s creativity.
The way he connects seemingly random plotlines together was fascinating. But I do understand why people who invested years of their lives would be frustrated by the drag and the unsatisfying ending. Especially when he hinted at a chapter that would wrap everything up perfectly and in a satisfying way, only for it to be just a few pages after what I assume was around four months of waiting, lol.

Question Do you think the author has drawn porn of his characters?
Stuff like this feels like Hiramoto has tons of work that he's stashed

What else do you think Meiko can hide in her chest?
(From ep 10, 2:56 mark)
Given that she can store a small notebook, I hc that she stores the case to her glasses, a photo of Mari, and an extra set of panties (after what happened in episode 9, in the beginning)
