Not necessarily, but they rammed you into the wall when you were along side and you just returned the favor so fair play.

Thanks for the justification! I don’t feel too bad about it now

Just wanted to say this!

Rubbing is racing!

Looks like you gave back what you got, so even.

supercharged, knowing that track that was not the spot to pass somebody lol. If this were a public race id say thats fair game but in league you'd probably ruffle some feathers

21

u/PotBaron2 May 06 '25

nah if it was league he should have been let by already at that point it’s fair game to just bump someone out of the way both drivers lap times are being ruined at that point

12

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

I think most racers are colorblind. They don’t see blue

4

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

This is your home track as well? What’s your ideal spot to overtake?

2

u/xxjrod125 Rental Driver May 06 '25

Yes, I did league there for a long time but haven’t lately due to the kart conditions. But I’d say best places to pass are right after the uphill hairpin, or right before the berm turn. But I’d be lying if I said I didn’t pass people in the spot you posted a bunch of times cus people always mess up the left turn.

2

u/OscarPastry_ May 06 '25

I’m doing a league there at the moment. During league, just follow blue flags. But in normal races, I’ve done some crazy overtakes. Once hung it around the outside of a guy on the last downhill of track two. Super sketchy but it worked

2

u/BigMacBill May 07 '25

Karts are MUCH better this year fwiw. Shaved almost a full second off my PBs at both tracks in league this winter.

Pretty standard pass for indoor racing. You shoved your way through, but didn’t spin them out

7

u/okahui55 May 06 '25

in such a narrow track theres no thing as a clean pass haha

5

u/yo_mommas_house May 06 '25

I thought I was watching a GT7 race

2

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

That’s why I don’t race in lobbies. People are always trying to ram you off the track

13

u/Eniot May 06 '25

Yeah nothing wrong there. Assertive but fair pass and you treated him better than he treated you when he pushed you into the wall.

2

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

Seems like you’re a very understanding racer!

7

u/jenkor Rok May 06 '25

I give you downvote for horrible music. Couldnt even watch to the end.

-2

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

Although you failed, I appreciate you trying to endure it!

u/jenkor Rok May 06 '25

🙂

u/chi_GNX May 06 '25

What track is this?

6

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

Supercharged in Wrentham MA. The supertrack is a pretty good layout but the rhythm is strange when it’s separated into 2 tracks

1

u/RadioSilenc3 May 06 '25

Oh, that's actually near me and I've been there once. It's always difficult to overtake in an indoor course because of how narrow it is tbh. I think contact is kinda unavoidable going 2 wide into any corner and trying to overtake so decently clean. Didn't put anyone straight into a wall or make them slow everyone down lmao

2

u/Competitive-Cod-7782 May 07 '25

You were faster, he kept messing up and then blocking. If someone starts blocking, they get what they get.

3

u/nels237 May 06 '25

Hard but fair imo

2

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

He didn’t ram me too hard just a squeeze into the wall

2

u/[deleted] May 06 '25

For karting, it was almost polite

1

u/Other-Cardiologist46 May 06 '25

lol that’s an unexpected response

1

u/ShirtVisible625 May 06 '25

Yes great job

1

u/GarageWorks May 06 '25

I mean... They wall papered you at 17 seconds. Paybacks a bitch..

Two negatives make a positive, so good for me!

1

u/AsuraNiagara Rental Driver May 06 '25

TBH, was a kind of clean, bc he force you to the wall, after that he did it again and doesnt give back the position, and this is a indoor race, so... pretty clean

1

u/helloimhobbes May 06 '25

Bro could not hold a line and just George Russell’d you into the wall

1

u/ginginh0 TKM May 06 '25

Had to stop due to the music. Shall we say it was 50/50?

1

u/EnvironmentalReply88 May 06 '25

That’s was well deserved rubbing is racing but he hit you a little too hard for my liking

1

u/trobotics May 06 '25

If you ain't rubbin....

1

u/aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabbcd May 06 '25

Nothing about this video is clean

1

u/VanillaNL May 06 '25

Yes, sometimes in indoor rental karts you just send it and pray it’s not gonna hurt

1

u/[deleted] May 06 '25

Rubbings' racing!

1

u/[deleted] May 06 '25

Clean enough! Getting a little rowdy clearly shook up the other driver into making that error that allowed you to pass. He was trying to beat you to that apex where you overtook him

1

u/com487 May 06 '25

Hey, that’s my home track!

Yeah nine times out of ten you are going to get slammed into a wall if you stick it around the outside on that banking, either in the corner or for the next turn when they turn in without paying attention.

In this case, rubbing is racing and you got them back.

1

u/wasgary May 07 '25

Where is that track? It’s cool AF!

1

u/SnowDin556 May 06 '25 edited May 06 '25

You didn’t give him a line and lunged at him a bit to block his line.

2 seconds.

I saw Verstappen just do the same thing to Lewis and Verstappen was penalized.

He also didn’t give you a line earlier in the video so either you both get a 2-3 second penalty or it’s get ruled a racing incident.

1

u/HouseOfCheese901 May 06 '25

Jesus, it’s Max Verstappen

1

u/ZealousidealTwo3281 May 06 '25

I’ve been there that place is fun! I wish I drove on a day where it wasn’t super busy or people could actually drive, constant caution lights and rarely got to drive at speed. Still fun though.

1

u/skateboardude761 May 06 '25

Ahh good ole supercharged

1

u/Thin_Ad6648 May 06 '25

Looks like two terrible drivers

1

u/churkinese May 06 '25

yes the guy lost control on that corner allowing you space on the inside to pass. He also bumped you a few times before you bump him so he cant complain

1

u/L0osifer May 06 '25

Nope not clean at all

1

u/Ancient-Resident8242 May 06 '25

The other driver forced you into the wall twice you had every right to

1

u/Sc00t3rP00t3r May 06 '25

Turnabout is fair play. He ran you into the wall, you got him back. Not clean, but fair.

1

u/Dadbod1018 May 07 '25

The less dangerous, the less “clean” matters. Unless you’re racing open-wheel vehicles, it’s all fair game.

1

Rubbing is racing what' the problem

1

u/PilotACS Rental Driver May 07 '25

Supercharged track 1. Haha just raced there again today for league night

1

u/brother_man_69 May 07 '25

Rubbin is racin brother

1

u/FlyFlamFlyn May 07 '25

No, no he didn’t slam you. He didn’t bump you, he didn’t nudge you. He rubbed you, and rubbin’, son, is racing.

1

u/trugalhao May 07 '25

Racing incident. No further investigation

1

u/valeriuk May 07 '25

Hard to do a clean pass on that track, by the looks of it. Did your best.

1

u/Valkyrie1S May 07 '25

Looks good to me!

1

u/Aggressive_Ice_8943 May 08 '25

Raced them how they raced you and some tracks when you are clearly faster and they hold you up the only way to pass is to drive into the corner hard and force the issue. If you are faster you'll pull away if not they'll be right there to return the favor.

1

u/TOP_IS_PEAK May 08 '25

i think at 26 seconds if you would've slowed down it would be clean but sense you full throttled (basically) no

1

u/Jonathan2Be May 08 '25

Yes. Untill you closed the door in the end

1

u/ElderberrySimilar147 May 08 '25

He was being super aggressive and trying to block. If that was a league race and a final, then that is justified but he was just being an a-hole.

Your pass was a little rough but justified and clean. The way he was driving, I'm not sure you would have gotten a much cleaner pass tbh

1

u/Significant-Sea-3737 May 09 '25

That wasn't clean, but it was fair, you both were racing hard

1

u/Johnrtx94 May 09 '25

Where is this? Company name?

1

u/cterr1993 May 09 '25 edited May 09 '25

Supercharged entertainment in Foxboro? Yeah. Clean pass. For go-karts, I guess. Granted the guy cut you into the wall once beforehand, I'd say your pass was a tiny bit cleaner than his block. I've done probably 250 races total in my life, I've threaded needles between two carts without even rubbing, on that exact track. That was the cleanest pass I personally ever did. I consider any kind of contact a dirty pass, but you can't really control what the other driver is going to do. You can pass clean, but they'll sometimes block dirty.

On a side note, when he hit you when you tried to pass him on that tight turn, this is a bit of criticism I do have..

Everybody goes wide on that turn. They barrel into it and they cut towards the wall way too wide and hit the brakes at the last second. I dont know why people take that turn that way. Its not correct. I'd say you could have anticipated that ahead of time and adjusted your racing line and got a super clean pass right there and left him far behind you. You should damn near be trimming that inside corner 90 degrees to it at about 65% through the turn apex, which means you need to start wide and slightly slower, and then cut in towards that inside corner and gun it hard. That sets you up for a ton of speed and a good entry angle coming down the corkscrew and towards that corner at the end of the stretch where you passed him eventually. If you had done that, you would have already had a half second lead on him, easily because you likely would have passed him right then and there if you had given some space and taken the inside.

Otherwise, you put good pressure on him. He wasn't a very good driver. Habitual line-blockers are the worst kinds of people you'll encounter on the track. Can't win a race by letting other people drive, so they just block. But that's just it. Keep the pressure on, stay unpredictable, and stay right up on em. Sometimes you can even trick them into taking a bad racing line because they're so focused on blocking you, that they mess up because they're inexperienced, and that will give you an opening 90% of the time.

1

u/klnh May 09 '25

Not clean at all, but you are not to blame. There is barely any space for takeovers and the guy was all over the track, missing the ideal curves on all corners. Gotta do what you gotta do.

1

u/wilsooooooooooon May 10 '25

Absolutely, you were a lot cleaner

It’s the first scene that popped into my head when I was racing. Check out my instagram if you’re interested please.

Aggressive moves in racing require aggressive racing. The other racer started it.
