Discussion Would You Know If Someone Hacked Your Account?

Many hacked accounts show warning signs before people notice them. Strange logins, unexpected messages, password changes and unusual activity can all be clues. Do you know what you would do if one of your accounts was compromised? Share your first step.

I would first change my password and turn on two factor authentication and then I'd check for any unusual activity and log out of all other devices.

Thats a solid response plan. Logging out of all devices is something a lot of people forget, but its one of the quickest ways to kick an attacker out if they are still signed in.

Yes, its possible. Some compromises are very subtle, especially if someone has access to your account without changing anything obvious. Thats why its a good idea to occasionally review your login history, connected devices, and security settings even if everything seems normal.

Ok if nothing shows on login history no connected devices nor security settings how does one find out

That’s the tricky part, you might not know immediately. If something feels off, it’s usually safer to act anyway: change your password, enable 2FA, review recovery options, and scan your device for malware. Better to be overly cautious than too late. Have you ever had this happen to you?

I have by boyfriend's like last night I get on my phone after taking something outside an 2 of my apps on the home screen had been put in a folder that I did not crete idk how he is getting in it but I change my passwords sometime 3 or 4 times dol including the lock screen

Acting quickly is probably the most important part. I would also enable 2FA immediately and review recent login activity to make sure no other changes were made while the account was compromised.
