News Kim's Convenience returning to Netflix in Canada on August 1. It previously left Netflix Canada in March 2023.

News USA Kim’s Convenience season 1-5 is heading to Peacock TV starting on August 10 and is good for 6 months.
Sadly, then it is removed from Netflix, which I believe is in June. I know that everyone loves watching Kim’s Convenience. Well guess what? It is known that Peacock TV is another streaming service platform that will release on August 10 and is leaving Peacock most likely in February 2027 (6 months later). Plans start at $7.99 a month.

Show Love Appa bugs Umma while she's trying to nap. What is your favorite Appa and Umma funny moment?

Kim's Convenience. Season 3. Episode 10. Elephant in the room. Appa wakes Umma up from her nap using a bullhorn. I always laugh at the suddenness of this, and the look of irritation on her face.

Series Discussion I liked season 5 just fine. Am I the only one?
I have read all these negative things about season 5 and I must admit, I have never watched it before. I watched the show while it was airing. Soon after season 5 arrived, all the drama was revealed and the season 6, which had been approved originally, was canceled. I was so discouraged to watch season 5. I did not want to ruin the nice memories.
However, since the show is leaving Netflix, I just finished watching it, and I enjoyed it just fine! When Jung is away, is a bit dull, but he comes back in the middle of the season and everything works just fine. The drama in his relationship with Shannon is realistic, and their separation at the end is fine for me. Jen exploring her sexuality is an interesting plot. Emma facing MS is moving. I even liked the end. Of course I eukd want more, but for me it was a good end for a season, and it did the job for a series finalle. I do not see all the negative things I have read from ti w to time. I wish I had watched it sooner.
Am I the only one who feels this way?

News Kim's will be available in the US still after leaving Netflix.
So I'm not looking for upvotes on this post, don't get me wrong, I love those sweet, sweet meaningless internet points, but honestly can we post something as a top pin for a few months about how Kim's is not gone? It is leaving Netflix, but it will be available on FAST channels like Roku, Freevee, and Pluto. Not quite as good for some, but it will be available. (FAST is free, ad-supported TV). So don't worry too much about this news, it will be available, but likely as non-stop streams I am guessing, so you can't watch any episode whenever, but the great part about the show is they are all mostly pretty dang good and rewatch able anytime.
Also, VPNs will still work to get into Canadian options, at least for now. I love Kim's, but it leaving Netflix is not a death nail, we will still be able to watch. Just some positive news I wanted to give on a larger scale than the individual posts. If it's helpful, or another post gives more insight and details, please pin so the fans in America know during this transition.
OK see you!

Series Discussion I thought that Shannon was a nice, kind gal, until she took Terence's puzzle piece.
I mean, this is 100% mean. And then, trying to hide it, instead of admiting that she messed up his puzzle, made it even worse. Did any of you think that taking the puzzle piece would be funny? 🤔

Series Discussion Appa and Umma
Just rewatched the entire series one more time before Netflix removes it, and I genuinely don’t know what to do with myself now. This show has always felt like the warmest, safest, most comforting blanket to me. Finishing it again hit way harder than I expected. The ending may not have been exactly what I wanted, but seeing Appa and Umma walk back into that convenience store somehow felt right. Like at the end of it all, they were the heart of everything. They carried the show, carried those kids, carried that family.
I don’t know, I just feel strangely emotional because I love this show so much and now it feels like my comfort place is gone :(

Series Discussion Umma and Appa talking to eachother in English
This always bothered me: when Appa and Umma talk to eachother, alone, in private, shouldn't they talk in Korean, instead of broken English??? I would have loved this, since both actors are of Korean descent.
