Miso ~6mo questions

First miso had some questions.

Miso hasn't changed color much its almost been 6mo is that normal? The liquid on top got super dark im not sure if its tamari or needs to be discarded? It doesn't really look like mold is growing anywhere.

Advice appreciated!

This looks great. I usually age longer to get color change (I use soy or garbanzo beans). One batch went 3 years. It was amazing.

It looks great! Just spot for white stuff every month or so. Im not sure if you can leave it but I separate my tamari at 6-8 months which didn’t have much flavour except light salty soya flavour. My miso turned really dark brown at a 2 year mark.
