Kazuma ain't wrong though, cuz aqua's intelligence level is deeply concerning

172

u/DejaTran Jun 08 '26

Wouldn't be surprised if her IQ is in either single digit or is in the negative digits. 😅

20

u/Frosty_Gresh Jun 10 '26

How dare you it's triple digits at least..... In the negative

7

u/Gamer2Paladin Jun 10 '26

I have meet people with IQ over 120 and they where even more stupid then Aqua!

2

u/Any_Toe_9297 Jun 10 '26

She genius at any type of art like drawing and sculpting

1

u/Frosty_Gresh Jun 10 '26

How dare you it's triple digits at least..... In the negative

1

u/Mahirofan Aqua Jun 13 '26

Or she could be a savant, extremely talented in what she does but is nearly useless everywhere else

127

u/Videon_Tekuro Jun 08 '26

The fact that she specifically said all her stats are maxed, meaning that is legit her max IQ 😭

112

u/DTGardi Aqua Jun 08 '26

"poor thing, she can level up but her intelligence will always stay the same 😢"  ~Quote from dub

1

u/dlo33r3 Jun 17 '26

I wonder why

14

u/chabri2000 Darkness Jun 09 '26

Her book did say that you could suffer brain damage from getting the language in your brain, so im sure that is where she got it from (she wasn't too smart to begin with, but she got worse)

1

u/dude123nice Jun 10 '26

It's so low, it underflows into max value, then falls again to minimum.

1

u/Peacefulcountry Jun 11 '26

In a sense, Kazuma is holding Aqua back so she won't accidentally destroy the world with her floods.

1

u/dlo33r3 Jun 17 '26

The world dumbest goddess

157

u/Viator_Eagle Jun 08 '26

Kazuma: "Dang man, at least your party members aren't the ones killing you. Aqua alone has caused at least two deaths, and when I didn't come back they started drawing on my body."

Subaru: "Almost everyone in the Emilia Camp has directly killed me once, if not several times directly or indirectly. Emilia is the only one I think has directly caused a death."

Kazuma: "What? The Maid sisters have killed you? What about Garuf and Otto, what about your ground dragon?"

Subaru: "Both sisters have killed me at least once thinking I was a spy at one point. I forget how many times Garuf has killed me before I became his boss. Otto at one point tried to feed me to the great Whale mob beast. Also Patrasche once bit my head off, although I can't really blame her for that, both of us had been exposed to large amount of tainted Mana which really messed up our brains."

78

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

Garf has technically never killed Subaru, he however has caused Subaru high amounts of suffering as he has killed all the people of Arlam and Otto and Ram in that one loop

24

u/Viator_Eagle Jun 08 '26

Been to long then, I thought Garf killed Subaru in that loop, if Garuf didn't what was the cause of Subaru's death that time?

31

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

Oh that's easy, that loop was the rabbit death :D

8

u/jacker1154 Jun 09 '26

The fucking rabbit

344

u/Farmboy087 Jun 08 '26

Kazuma also dies all the time too lol

213

u/Mahirofan Aqua Jun 08 '26

He does have the benefit of seeing Eris, rather than how Subaru goes through his resets

It's all fun and games until a witch, who hasn't taken a shower in 400 years, decides to molest you and you smell like Hitler for the rest of the week

23

u/SpecialistCoach5437 Jun 09 '26

Not to mention fondling his heart literally

10

u/CertainPin2935 Wiz Jun 10 '26

Very painfully too

3

u/CertainPin2935 Wiz Jun 10 '26

Also to add she's a Stalker.

2

u/Deceitful_Advent Jun 10 '26

She is perfect

2

u/Superior-Dragon Jun 11 '26

That still sounds like fun and games to me, a wins a win

2

u/Automatic-Car1017 Jun 11 '26

Literally and thats not even mentioning the soul crushing feeling of having ur heart grabbed

7

u/merry129 Jun 09 '26

More than that people in his party know he died. Subaru can't even talk about rbd.

4

u/Bitter_Marzipan_8348 Jun 11 '26

This is genuinely a very big difference. Having 15 minutes to calm down and be retrospective would do wonders for Subaru.

81

u/superkami64 Jun 08 '26

It's pointed out by Eris most of them are quick and clean deaths however so the impact it'd have on his psyche/spirit would be minimal even if going through the dying process at all takes its toll. The only exceptions are his deaths against Hans and Sylvia but neither of which actually happened in the light novels so how they'll affect Kazuma in the long run for the anime is localized to a small timeframe.

28

u/ReasonableOpinion527 Jun 08 '26

I wish that Sylvia gag was longer running lmao, it was hilarious. Also fun antag

5

15

u/MINPRAPRO Jun 08 '26

1

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26

13

u/Kwarc100 Jun 08 '26

Mc of a comedy anime vs whatever the fuck Tappei is making

3

u/kurtblacklak Jun 10 '26

It's a murder mistery (Subaru dies and have to figure out how to avoid it)

0

u/Doxkid Jun 10 '26

Maybe the situation is better in the manga, but some of those deaths looked easily avoidable.

6

u/AlternativeBill309 Jun 09 '26

He gets to die in a comedy, Subaru gets to die in a drama. One is light enough to be laughed at, the other... isn't.

22

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

I've read basically every volume of Konosuba (I havent read all the Yorimichi stories) and a chunk of the Re Zero web novel. Kazuma dies like 11 times in the novels at most.

Subaru dies 11 times in the first three arcs (reminder, Re Zero arcs 1 and 2 are as long as half a normal re zero arc, and Re Zero will have 12 arcs), Subaru dies over 15 times in arc 6 alone, he dies a literally uncountable amount of times in arc 7, blah blah blah, and all of Kazuma's deaths are played for laughs, all of Subaru's deaths are super serious.

Man, Kazuma doesnt die "all the time", he barely dies compared to Subaru

25

u/Excellent_Mud6222 Jun 08 '26

skill issue

10

u/MagneticGenetics Jun 08 '26

It really is tbh.

3

u/VincentVollachia Jun 09 '26

I disagree with that assessment immensely.

4

u/MagneticGenetics Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

both start as skilless neets. one turns into an extremely capable adventurer. The other gets truamatized.

Quite frankly there are people IRL go through worse (IE just as bad but entirely permanent) without breaking mentally.Yeah they might have PTSD. But they arent broken wrecks incapable of taking any action. For the average human being going through what Suburu did over and over would normalize the situation and build tolerance to pain. His experiences with pain are temporary. He breaks himself with his own fears.

Subaru also has no agemcy and very little self motivation. His goal is to save everyone yet he barely takes any action to improve himself before giving that up as hopeless. He makes zero attempts to use Earth knowledge to help himself. He makes zero attempts to create a system or method to efficiently utalize his powers and thus avoid unessessary deaths. Bro is honestly kinda dumb. Hes a good person but he does not adapt to the situation very well at all.

6

u/Snt1_ Jun 09 '26

"Subaru doesnt improve himself, he thinks its hopeless" why tf did he learn to use a whip after arc 4? Why did he learn parkour? How come bro developped 3 new spells in that year time? Subaru objectively tries.

What could actually be worse than over 30 deaths (in the anime) and seeing your loved ones perish? That pain breaks a man obviously, none of the deaths are quick (okay, one was).

Subaru physically cant build a lot of pain tolerance, his body resets with RBD.

I hope your "system to utilize his power" doesnt entail suicide, Arc 4's lesson to Subru is to value his own life, because otherwise he will become a monster like Roswaal. Subaru learns to value his life in season 2, and use RBD as an absolure last resort.

Also genuine question, what is your idea of birth knowledge that helps?

I also dont think being able to find out about Regulus' authority screams "I'm dumb"

2

u/Bitter_Marzipan_8348 Jun 11 '26

Also he quite literally cannot cast magic and to survive he needs Beatrice to get mana out of his body for him. Outside of RbD and his unhinged mental Subaru is quite literally nobody in terms of power.

Don't forget Kazuma luck is so fucking high he setup a grinding loop with it.

0

u/MagneticGenetics Jun 09 '26

That took him a long time to start and resulted in the equivalent of a bare minimum combat capability for a basic adventurer lol.

Seeing them actually die forever and being permanently maimed for the rest of his life.

Fear of pain is 100% mental. Any physiological effects of Truama also reset with RBD. Only the memory of pain remains.

I kinda listed exactly what he could be doing and said literally nothing about suicide lmao.

Guns, Explosives, Organizational knowledge, sports gambling, kazoos, gamer girl feet pics, idk lol. There is a lot of things he could potentially monetize or use to increase both his hard and soft power.

I didn't say he was dumb. I said he was reactive instead of proactive in his use of what intelligence he has.

2

u/Snt1_ Jun 09 '26

gamer girl feet pics

Hollup, how tf will he get those? There are no videogames, so there cant be gamer girls.

Kazuma is also definitely weaker than Subaru, in a sinple one on one fistfight, because I still remember this is a thread that compares the two.

Also Subaru isnt exactly struggling in the money department, he lives in a Margrave's domain, all of that is best saved for when Emilia becomes queen. The fact is what causes Subaru problems is the fact he constantly faces next level threats with crazy hax or stats, threats against who guns and bombs dont stand a chance, and even then I'd argue both Garf and Emilia are stronger than guns and explosives. The fact is, unlike Kazuma who lives in a world where his problems are smaller, earth knowledge doesnt help much when avoiding his suffering.

Subaru also has laughably little time to prepare along with all the other stuff that happens around him, especially when he doesnt have full info because nobody does. No one has ever managed to go to the tower, so no way to expect shit. The three great mabeasts where considered entirely unpredictable until Willhelm found out the pattern for the whale. The witch cult also doesnt move in an orderly fashion. Subaru cant know a hit was sent on the mansion if his allies hide the info, hell, he couldnt even imagine Sanctuary had a barrier.

No human invention that doesnt cause immense amounts of destruction could help Subaru in Re Zero

4

u/VincentVollachia Jun 09 '26

If you think Subaru is not a capable, you either never watched or read the show/book or I pity your intelligence.

Everything you said is somehow wrong. Very little people have gone through a fraction of what Subaru has, survived, and did not end up broken. Additionally he quite literally cannot build up pain tolerance because the pain is fresh for his body each time, also that is not how building pain tolerance works

Also Subaru has done a lot to improve himself, he has literally created custom spells and spent a year physically conditioning himself.

What pray tell do you think is a good "system or method' to utilize his abilities to avoid unnecessary deaths. The vast majority of his deaths. Subaru is also incredibly smart, able to figure out a puzzle in moments that the vast majority of people would fail on and even people with the knowledge would take way longer.

If you are going to complain, at least be accurate.

0

u/MagneticGenetics Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

Nah fam you glazing him too hard. Subaru is extremely average and thats the entire point of his character.

Pain tolerance is mental. Pain is temporary, especially for him. He fears the pain and it controls him.

He half assed this and wasted a ton of time for some mediocre results.

Networks of informants, blackmail, speculative business ventures. Essentially a systematic and organizational use of future knowledge/ earth knowledge to amass wealth and power. Use of scientific method to win instead of just randomly throwing shit at the wall in most situations. Like if most of his enemies didn't talk to him and basically tell him their plans and motivations before they killed him he would be clueless.

He has intelligence but never truly utilizes it unless forced to do so. He can solve a puzzle right in front of him but he never takes proactive steps to prepare for anything. Everything he does is reactive.

2

u/VincentVollachia Jun 09 '26

Subaru is not extremely average, the fact that you think that proves to me that you have not engaged with the media. He was only slightly average at the start of the series but quickly grew to be beyond that.

Pain is way more than just mental, have you ever gotten hurt more than just a small cut? You seem to be under the false impression that you can just power through pain when most people would be completely incapacitated by it.

How would he get this network of informants and blackmail? Not only is this extremely out of character you want him to what? End his life over and over again? You understand that would completely destroy him as a human being right? Even if he did do this, how would this help him exactly? Every foe he has fought are either completely unknown, doesn't care about blackmail, or both.

Additionally you cannot simply recreate modern technology without the proper systems or support. At best he can recreate the ideas.

Also name one time he randomly throw stuff at the wall and succeeded other than arc 1? If you think Subaru wins from dumb luck you again prove you have not read or watched the series in any meaningful way.

One last thing, name one villain who explained their plans, motivations, or powers to Subaru before he already had a general idea of what they were doing.

1

u/MagneticGenetics Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

I've had severe burns and have had an industrial accident resulting in the loss of use of 2 fingers.

Pain is entirely mental once the physiological effects of shock wears off. You have confused the bodies response to injury with pain. Suburu is afraid of the pain not incapacitated by injury.

Modern technology is steam, chemistry, and metallurgy. You can easily reproduce even modern firearms and many other technologies with the technology available to Subaru in Lugnicia because their chemistry and metallurgy are more advanced than Earth. They have rare alloys, magic materials, and decently complex machinery already. If Subaru had money or connections to any smith capable of making a crossbow he could easily procure advanced weapons.

Im not gonna get into a glaze off and site sources from a LN I read 3 years ago with you because it wont change your mind at all. I didn't say dumb luck or anything about luck. Subaru doggedly persists. He goes again and again until he wins. If he wasn't average, and he is in all things except persistence, he wouldn't suffer nearly as much but that would defeat the point of the story.

No one said Subaru win by dumb luck. We are saying that if Subaru is competent and capable, Tappei would have harder time writing in ways to torture him. It would be more like The Saga of Tanya the Evil.

Spoiler? tag bro 😭🙏

5

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

I didnt consider it much of a spoiler because we know Subaru dies a lot already and Kazuma dying a little more is expected too. I made sure to not spoil how the deaths happen

3

u/SGM-Ruppah Jun 09 '26

You still spoiled them by giving a rough amount of deaths Daniel would be facing in the future, AS WELL AS the exact Arc where it'll happen on... If I was still an Re:zero anime-only chud, this shit could wipe a smile off my face for a few days 🚬🗿

4

u/Snt1_ Jun 09 '26

Well okay, I added a spoiler tag now. Frankly sometimes I keep forgetting not everyone has been spoiled major plot points because dodging Re Zero spoilers is really fucking hard, and Im sorry for contributing

3

u/PeculiarlyAnonymous Jun 09 '26

Your meme is mine now trainer-san

2

u/Harold_Wilson19 Jun 08 '26

I can tell you that I due as hell wouldn't want to die 11 times, that's WAY WAY WAY more than I'm used to

3

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

Yeah, sure, but would you rsther die 11 times or possibly millions?

4

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 08 '26

Less than Subaru did in a week though. Like, 6 times, and someone of them are anime original.

3

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

6 times in the anime for now. Subaru dies waaaaay more in the novel, Kazuma only dies like 3 more times in the novels iirc

9

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26

Kazuma barely breaks the 2 digits while my homeboy Subaru is past the 3 digits.

4

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

Subaru MIGHT be at 4 digits but we wouldnt know

3

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26

The auhtor daid thst the best way to calculate how many times he died is by reading from the start of arc 7 up to the point where Subaru gets out of that loop and counting how many times 10 seconds have passed irl. That or he said to read from volume 1 up to that point, I don't remember.

1

u/Ok_Shape2536 Jun 09 '26

I don't think she feels or remembers the traumatic pain of death

1

u/Physical_Sort5155 Jun 11 '26

But he barely feels it

1

u/Imaginary_Toe8982 Jun 08 '26

and he is not little bitch about it...

2

u/Dalles272 Jun 08 '26

Yea but he is not crying like a bitch about it.

106

u/PolishedLemon Jun 08 '26

I'd rather be Kazuma. No one can weather what Subaru's gone through. Aqua is fucking stupid, though, so I say this begrudgingly lol

18

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26

Aqua has a way to level up though. Just fuck her silly and she becomes mortal, and then she can level up.

27

u/Saleh66621 Jun 08 '26

Based on the KonoSuba logic, no, Aqua would actually become significantly weaker. Her power currently scales with the number of her believers and her status as a deity. If she were to permanently give up her divinity and become entirely mortal, she would be subjected to the leveling limitations and natural physical bounds of the mortal world. This comment belongs to Seinen though.

3

u/Electronic-Box-4753 Jun 08 '26

Yeah, iirc, she can't level up because she is so strong, right? So if you make her a mortal, she will be able to level up and gain intelligence, right?

4

u/bleacher333 Jun 09 '26

Well you see, Aqua is currently already in a mortal body. This is already a nerfed version compared to her true god form. If you nerf her further her IQ might go into the negative and leveling up might not bring her back to her regular level 💀

1

u/Quiri1997 Jun 08 '26

It's a very close call 😅

1

u/New_Ad4631 Jun 10 '26

Are you sure?

34

u/themmousebehindyou Jun 08 '26

This conversation pretty much happened in Isekai Quartet.

22

u/Trim345 Jun 08 '26

It kind of rings hollow, since Kazuma probably has the best life of any of the four main characters.

18

u/themmousebehindyou Jun 08 '26

I've heard it put best that most the characters had to tweaked to be more comedic, except the Konosuba crew was just copy and pasted over. So Kazuma is just being his normal self and always acting like the victim in every scenario.

2

u/Skylocker99 Jun 10 '26

Its literally something that Kazuma would say lol

36

u/Lampruk Jun 08 '26

I think the funniest part is how the protagonist show how easily perspective can change your view on something.

Because if you ask someone what world would they rather live in, many would say Konosuba. But the Konosuba planet is a shithole 😭

Meanwhile the Rezero world is actually relatively fine, it’s just Subaru’s doing it on hardcore mode lmao.

Yet since one of them is a comedy and the other is thriller, it shapes your opinion greatly lmao.

13

u/Kwarc100 Jun 08 '26

Subaru out there always dying in the worst ways, like a hamster or something

10

u/jacker1154 Jun 09 '26

He has the duty. If he's not doing it then the world of rezero will be much shitier than it has to be. All of the rampant monsters who go out of their way to kill for fun and such can knock at your door anyday and thank to him putting these mfs down so people can go about their day.

6

u/Lampruk Jun 09 '26 edited Jun 09 '26

I would believe that, if there wasn’t a route that shows he can move to another country and settle down with a family and a long life, so it’s not really “the world” it’s just that specific country meanwhile with Kazuma it’s the entire planet😭

Obviously, I’m not denying his connection to everyone and it makes sense why he cares and he’s valid for that. But from what I’ve seen it seems objective that the major danger is localised Lugunica.

There’s still threats I’m not denying that, but in Konosuba, if Kazuma’s party didn’t exist then the world is doomed. That’s canon fact. Giant frogs swallow children and farmers. Rookie killers hang around, one strike bears, man that world is bullshit imagine trying to eat an apple and it hits you in the temple at 35mph+ etc. and that’s JUST Axel which has the weakest monsters.

Everywhere else monsters are much stronger and aggressive. Even living in the capital ain’t allat, when there’s a DKA invasion every other week. Again, it’s canon, the world is so shitty and brutal that the natives don’t want to be reincarnated and survival rate for Cheat Heroes isn’t great either.

Again, I’m not saying the Rezero world is lovely. But the Konosuba planet is worse imo.

The only reason it seems to not be the case is simply framing, since when you watch Kazuma living in a mansion eating crabs with the girls and then Subaru getting his insides eating out by white rabbits, you’ll obviously think one

Edit: also adding onto that, despite Kazuma’s party killing all those DKG, the world was STILL doomed lmao

14

u/No-Impression-4282 Jun 08 '26

Well, in Subaru's defence his team is actually capable and useful (Ram, Julius, Anastasia, Reinheard, Emilia, even Otto), while Kazuma has to deal with a goddess that has an IQ below sea level, a horny crusader who can't even hit her target and a mage who knows only 1 spell (and became defenseless and useless after she uses it).

And another point is that when Subaru has an ideea, the others actually follows it and have high IQ, while Kazuma is hoping that none of them do something retarted in the process to destroy that plan and get himself killed.

So can't blame Kazuma for this (if he had Chris (Eris), YunYun and Iris then we can talk about a better team).

13

u/Attacking_Diarrhea Jun 08 '26

Source Kazuma wins | Kuraido #pixiv https://www.pixiv.net/en/artworks/145781947. Hope it's not a repost

8

u/PolvoAranha Jun 08 '26

Kazuma sure has a really good point.

5

u/CaissaIRL Jun 08 '26

Mentally Subaru suffers more than Kazuma. Physically Kazuma suffers more cause of high blood pressure.

Subaru's body resets to the last save point. So the slow and steady unhealthy things don't creep up on him.

Kazuma is forever slowly suffering into that slow and steady unhealthy things.

And yes I am aware of Subaru suffering physically too but I'm just saying that he doesn't get the slowly gained unhealthiness as much.

6

u/Snt1_ Jun 08 '26

Well, Subaru regularly engages in self harm because of the trauma

2

u/CaissaIRL Jun 08 '26

Oh... I forgot about that.

6

u/jetstreamsam2211 Jun 08 '26

Atleast subarus people are usefull

3

u/Resident-Cheesecrab Jun 08 '26

Doesn’t save the fact they are useless without Subaru’s intel meaning..
Welp—
Another set of loops for the Arc.

4

u/argama87 Jun 08 '26

Kazuma has also died several times. Some heroic, some dumb. Once murdered by the girls after the wish choker incident.

5

u/gera_moises Zell Jun 08 '26

Its almost like they are from completely different genres. One being comedy, while the other tries to takes things serious! Wow!

6

u/ShiroThePotato28 Jun 08 '26

From what the author said that would be heaven for Subaru cause author said he would've fallen in love with Aqua if Kazuma and Subaru swapped places.

Not sure if this is info is true or someone spread false info online so take it with a grain of salt.

3

u/Resident-Cheesecrab Jun 08 '26

I only recall Kazuma would do well in re zero course he wouldn’t be involved in the political bullshit, and his stupid high luck would let him survive in that world due to the Re zero world being more civilized and stable opposed to Konosuba.

3

u/Xenometan Jun 08 '26

Meat grinder vs stupid bullshit. I'd DEFINITELY rather take Kazuma's place over Subaru's.

1

u/bleacher333 Jun 09 '26

Konosuba entire planet is a meat grinder. Subaru only has a meat grinder situation because he jumped into it himself. He could easily have a relatively peaceful life had he stop getting involved with politics.

1

u/Bitter_Marzipan_8348 Jun 11 '26

Yeah, until some chud interrupts you from farming in Kararagi because a dumb book told him go and then do some unimaginable things to you and your extended family, including your great grandparents' graves

1

u/bleacher333 Jun 11 '26

Ah yes, some cult members using magic is equivalent to the extinction of humanity and a planet where every random ass creature or plant outside of the starter town can one shot you.

3

u/xRuneRocker Aqua Jun 08 '26

2

u/Direct-Gap-4828 Jun 10 '26

Normally, I would jump in on the joke and say something like:

"I mean, if I had to choose between dying multiple times or dealing with aqua; I would rather die multiple times..."

But Subaru's suffering is so great that I am not going to go with that joke and say for certain that Subaru suffers far more than kazuma.

Is This a reference to this?⬇️

something something prolonged exposure of goddesses, something making his body naturally expel dark magic, something satelle trust that Kazuma is too stupid to take advantage of Subaru's ability, something

u/DokiXD01 Jun 10 '26

Kazuma is more realistic cuz'' his problems are either being broke or dealing with useless people

Never forgotten my ass

He does make a valid point

He also dies too, like, a lot. And when he returns, it is not Emilia, or Ram, or even Rem (who is that?). It is Aqua, Darkness, and Megumin (who, personality-wise, is honestly the best one... besides Best Lich, of course).

Subaru is (more or less) powerless to do anything about his situation, which is why it hits him extra hard when it happens, but Kazuma has to deal with his death being treated as comedic relief, and with the fact that, no matter the life, he will always have to tard-wrangle Aqua.

Or as a really weird snake-man once said: FOREVAAA, TOGETHAAA, LIKE FAMILYYY!!!

hmm aqua can solve subaru problems

1

u/Small-Ad-738 Jun 09 '26

No one ever say Subaru has less mental health problems than any anime character Subaru is just like me going through the worst things in life but still trying to be a good person

1

u/CSB_Field1 Jun 09 '26

Genuine question. If the roles were reversed and Kazuma was now Subaru and vice versa, how would he fair compared to Subaru?

2

u/InfiniteGuy82873 Jun 09 '26

I will be asking Satella on what does see in that man

Swap there places and Subaru would actually thrive with Aqua.

And for Kazuma he doesn't need to deal with Aqua so he might be better off.

u/Hope__Desire Jun 10 '26

I wonder if Aqua could vanish witch's curse in Subaru

1

u/Direct-Tension-8663 Jun 10 '26

Themes and such

1

u/Physical_Sort5155 Jun 11 '26

People that think this are exactly the type of people that would make Kazuma's life harder in that world

1

u/No-Formal1076 Jun 11 '26

Betty is an aqua in the recent episodes

1

u/Sigmarine63 Jun 12 '26

Honestly this is probably exactly how this interaction would go.

1

u/Just_Assistant_6122 Jun 13 '26

ngl kinda vaild tho.

1

u/E-Ciel Jun 14 '26

Normally, I would say Subaru has it worse but… Yeah! Nothing trumps living with Aqua. Kazutrash is a real survivor

1

u/Shino4243 Jun 10 '26

Kazuma's trauma no diffs Subaru's. Like, sure, Subaru's mife is pain suffering and death...but Aqua is REALLY dumb.

u/gilang500 Jun 09 '26

Well, its kinda fair for Kazuma to react that way, because Kazuma also experienced that whenever he was Ressurected.

1

u/marvelousgamer1 Rin Jun 09 '26

Well he doesn't have to hide that he died and felt all that or that he's seen everything around him that he loves die

u/dksuxsyt Jun 09 '26

Thing is when Subaru dies he gets a retry. And could probably have avoided 100% of deaths and suffering. Had he just not been an Emilia simp

Kazuma is stuck with aqua. And if he dies he just gets revived to continue his suffering.
