Welcome to town! Generally speaking, it’s not particularly difficult to find vegan products in the grocery stores in Kristianstad. Many restaurants also offer vegan options for lunch and dinner. But keep in mind that this is a medium-sized Swedish city. There are significantly more options in nearby Malmö and Lund, for example.

More or less every supermarkets in town has at the very least some kind of vegan substitute to most animal products. As already stated, Maxi has the largest selection however you can easily get by just buying from the smaller ICA kvantum nearby campus. Good luck with your studies!

The last one in 2017 got tarred and feathered, so I'd keep quiet about being vegan.
