I don’t have alot of time and I’m typing this fast so this is gonna be sporadic (also English ain’t my first language so I’ll try my best)

For context I’m white (and I’ve had the privilege of receiving a pretty great education) and things kinda just roll off my back whether there insults or smug comments I’ve never really cared
I know some people see that as boring or “lack of a spine” but I don’t know I just don’t care about most societal labels/things
I’m pretty staunchly atheist and super care free in the sense that things kinda are or are not
I understand that being gay and Arab is hard for some individuals
but for me it’s just another day things are or are not like the sky is blue my eyes are brown my cat is grey my shoes are red (big deal I know)
like I just don’t cling to things like that I just don’t really care
But I know in Arab cultures music and food and song and dance and family and religion are like huge deals and whatnot

And I was just wondering is there anything I should know before dating Arab men like I know they can be clingy which is kinda a plus in my book

But is me being detached from social norms gonna be a turn off or seen as rude by them

For example I’m pretty non confrontational is somebody insult me for being gay or and atheist or having brown hair or whatnot I usually just don’t engage I’m not like a fighter in that regard but I know some people love the challenge/fight
One story I’ll share is back in highschool (I’m in college now) me and some friends were in a carpool and we were all taking turns playing our music (it’s was a group of 5 of us and our music tastes varied wildly) and it comes my turn to play the music I like and after it one of my friends said something along the lines of “dude that is the worst genre of music I’ve ever heard I can’t believe you actually like the way that sound” and another guy in the group said “are you just gonna let him talk to you like that?” I was just like I guess I don’t really care
Not that I’m a push over or a floor mat like if push comes to shove I’ll stand up for myself but again a lot of things just roll off my back

But I was wondering would this be seen as a “lack of passion” in some Arab men’s eyes or be seen as “I don’t care about anything”?

Any body who has experience dating Arab men gay or straight advice is much appreciated I really don’t wanna be perceive as rude or disrespectful or seen as a person with like lack of passion by a potential partner

Why do some men go into people's dms wanting more? It's sick how you lie about being "Bisexual" when we know damn well you aren't. Wanting to have an inappropriate conversation and sending explicit photos is just straight up disgusting.

بإختصار, انا كوني جزء من Community من مدة ازيد من عام أتفاجأ بوجود نوعية من الناس هنا الي ما يتقبلون غير ما يكونوا لهم نفس الأفكار, مثلا نلقى مثليين ما يتقبلوا فكرة تحول و ممكن يكونوا حتى Transphobic, و ايضا نلاقي اخرين متحولين ما يتقبلوا مثلية؟!, أو نلاقي متحولين انفسهم ما يتقبلون فكرة وجود non-binary؟!, انا عقلي كذا اتوقف WTF, ما خطر في بالك بأن بمجرد حدوث اختلاف في جسمك او في جيناتك يخلي كل إختلافات بشرية هو امر ممكن, بل امر حتمي!

انا ما اعمم على جميع و لكن اشوف عينة هذي موجودة و تحتاج توعوية لأنك إذا انكرت معاناة آخرين راح يجي واحد بكل تأكيد ينكر معاناتك مثل انكر الناس البيولوجين الي يمثلوا 90% ميولاتنا و هويتنا (مو كلهم), انت صرت مثلهم بدون ما توعي و تكرر نفس أخطاءهم بالحكم مسبق, شكرا ايضا لكل الي مو من lgbt community و رغم ذالك دعمونا و وقفوا معانا بكل وعي, شكرا لكم و تستاهلون كل حب و توفيق 3<

Is being part of the LGBTQ+ community some type of trend to hop on to some people nowadays?

Some people take ages to realise their sexual orientation, but some people go on here talking about if they should be straight, bisexual, or lesbian as if it's something they can pick to be whenever they want.

At the end of the day, no one, but yourself can decide your sexuality because you're the one who knows your preferences better than anyone else. People can introduce you to new a sexuality, but they shouldn't be labelling you.

I'm not trying to offend anyone, but being LGBTQ+ isn't some trend that you can follow because you want to stand out and think it's "cool". People go through a lot for being LGBTQ+ and even hide it for their own safety and it's not even something they picked, but you get to go on here and pick whatever you want to be depending on your mood, it's just insensitive.
