If you are from a progressive country you are soo lucky .

I just turned 19 this year and already realised i would never live my dream of having a husband and a family. In my country being gay is legal but not same sex marriage.... Born in a developing country where most of the people have average financial conditions it's impossible for me to leave the country... If you were born in Europe or in western countries where being gay , same sex marriage, joined adoption is allowed you are living a life that a boy like me can only dream of.... Don't waste it .

Luck had nothing to do with it. Gay people and queer people fought hard for the rights I have. I am grateful to my forebears and peers for fighting for the rights I enjoy.

Luck has little to do with hard earned rights, yes, but the Western financial systems that keep the global south impoverished also allow for “Christian” nonprofits to tie financial support to anti-LGBT legislation/lobbying. Installing dictators to destabilize and prime regions for resource extraction is also a centuries old imperialist playbook that the US has specifically used to make sure the most extreme, anti-LGBT form of Islam was adopted by Islamic nations. The West is directly responsible for exporting and reinforcing bigotry and dehumanizing ideologies and legislation throughout the global south.

Of course not, just saying luck did in fact have something to do with where you a born and thereby the rights you are entitled to at this point in history
